been reading for about 2 and a half years, thought i would take the plunge and sign up.. my circumstances... i live in uk, serving as ms. i am fully awake.
i can not leave due to family, so just treating the meetings as a bit of a social club.
i would like to give out more details, but i think you all know the drill.. complete disillusionment and i suppose natural curiosity woke me up.. don't know what else to say right now, just hello, and i hope to get to know some of you guys better.

had a quick look at the workbook and flicked through the sample meeting video.. the increased use of video shows the trend for more centralised dissemination of "best practice" .
sure there isn't really a "school" any more and the format is a bit different but i think those that called it as the same old crap just in new package got it pretty much right.

i love the fact what he said about reading crises of conscious: if you read that book as a jw and still think the wt has the truth, something is wrong with you....the song played at the end is simply classic and very appropriate.

the following information on jehovah's answering of prayer came to mind when replying to another thread moments ago.. doubtless, our viewpoint on this and other scriptural matters has taken on a new direction -- if any at all.
having worked on this bible dictionary while at bethel, i retain a fondness for it.

AID TO BIBLE UNDERSTANDING, "The Answering of Prayers," page 1331, paragraphs 2, 3 sound quite innocuous and put the onus on the publisher. Interesting that gods timetable of 12 years wasn't long enough for us to demonstrate the debt of our concern, intensity of motive. (completely emotionally shattered living on antidepressants knowing/waiting we would not be believed until another child was sexually assaulted) Heaven forbid we pressure Jehovah god into action to protect children in the congregation he evidently takes note of the extent of concern shown among his servants as a body(the local body of elders not too concerned he was there best mate),. We must be Too apathetic for Jehovah s clean organisation so reported to police and submitted to Australian Royal Commission.
i just read an email from a friend, and she shared some very interesting emails from her friends about information on changes now happening at the bethels around the world.
