  i thought paradise was supposed to be a delight?

  not according to the august study wt, on page 20 paragraphs 4-12 it outlines how much paradise will be exactly like being in the org today.

  still following rules, waiting on jehovah and obeying those taking the lead.

  I was one of the ones that sat and obediently nodded my husband wasn't an elder so I assumed we would have to go somewhere a bit tougher!!!! WT knows best so embarrassed, was dumb as a doorknob!!!

  Cult members typically believe that they have made their own decisions and are continuing to do so - even when to outsiders their beliefs and their logic seem very strange and almost unreal! But their volition, their free-will, has been severely limited. Cult members may believe all sorts of things, they are part of an elite group, having special or important information that can change or save the world, amongst other things.

  The royal commission is paid for by Australian taxpayers. No public criticism that I know of money well spent. As a ex Jw and humanist it is essential to feel compassion and be willing to fight against all religious/sexual oppression and abuse for not only JW but all colors/castes and creeds........

  I attended an all day social workers, domestic violence seminar this week. Part of which was broadcast on the ABC news last night. One of the speakers is also working with the royal commission and has included religious oppression/abuse in her talk about violence and women. She was required to speak to aprx 100 fundamentalist elders. She came prepared with a list of the rules and regulations that they use to control and distort sex and sexuality and took them on. Very interesting!!!

  The counseling I that was provided by the RC ( in a local womens center) was great and no JW sister (in full cult mode) would be able to work in that particular organisation who have such a strong human rights focus for males and females.

  this unhealthy focus on "new system" Valhalla, Nirvana ??? ect no discernible difference to all the other cults leaves no room for living now.............that JW Cult steals/demands precious time and energies that could be so better spent in so many ways.....

  I was told by an annotated person that the new system will be policed by angels who will be making sure that every body behaves.........will they be in the bedrooms too???????

  i made a quick run to lowes to buy some paint and ran into a brother.

  he is one of those elders that is very, very, petty.

  if he drops by your house unexpected and notices that your kids are watching one of the star wars movies, he will counsel you for allowing your kids to watch any movie that has to do with war he will then make sure you are not recommended for any privilege.

  as far as i can remember watchtower has been notorious for not citing their sources in their literature.

  the most they will do is to cite their in house, long living expert by the name of scholar.

  after 40 + years all i've ever read is the mantra "one scholar says" ad nauseum.
