Watchtower crackdown on anointed expansion - are they reaching for a solution to the expanding numbers problem?
by slimboyfat inif this has been discussed i missed it.
i think the january study watchtower is a concerted attempt to reduce the numbers claiming to be anointed.
but i love the sneaky way they go about it this time.

by Esmeralda001 ingreetings,it seems that jw immediately assume that all "wordly" people (as they like to call it) are immoral and unworthy of their trust.
i sort of understand how it can be dangerous for a christian to have association with someone who doesn't share their values, but don't you think that some members take the conceal lied in corinthians 15:33 to the extreme?
what about romans 2:14?

No he was not punished he disassociated himself. Because I reported the abuse when my daughter was of legal age it is all up to her. For many valid reasons my daughter (the victim) is not able to pursue legal action at this time in her life.
JW.ORG is a cruel and controlling CULT. It will not allow you to criticize or discuss its shamefully inadequate child protection policies or procedures. Shown up so well in Royal Commission.
I was even accused to "worshipping my daughter ahead to Jehovah" because I put her needs ahead of continuing to protect a peodohile under 2 witness policy.
It is absolutely their way or the highway!!

I trusted in the ORG
I trusted the "2 witness rule"
I trusted my own anointed parent who "stated that the angels will keep the cong clean"
for 12 years
When my teenage baptised (used on platform at assemblies) daughter remembered the abuse the spiritual guides I "trusted" said "only Demonized people remember abuse".
I reported to police/australian royal commision resulting in such vicious shunning we had to sell our home and move.
Just before we left we had visit from presiding overseer let us know that they were no longer willing to protect offender had left his wife and moved in with much younger woman and we where now free in their eyes to take action against him . (with not financial or support from them) how nice of them!
Now the bible gives me hives and I don't trust men/religion,authority, angels........ect,ect, ect

As I was being an obedient/trusting sister I left the room to hospitably make a cup of tea for an elder who I assumed called in (alone)on an important shepherding visIt he took advantage of proximity to my small child to sexually assault her. He arrived with another brother but sent him away to the next house.
I wish/wish/ I didn't trust!

Changes to reporting
by Formerbrother inso it seems placing literature is not so important anymore, now that we live in a digital age.. we are being pushed to show videos instead.
this is the new reporting from next month, just hrs and any literature placed in one box and then how many videos you showed in another box.. bib changes for sure..

Evidenced-based scientific studies state that deep reading and comprehension requires reading on paper. Although we can recount what we read on screen it isn't as deeply assimilated and disappeared more quickly from memory.
so what happened to all those admonitions from platform to be like the 'noble minded Berean Jews and engage in deep studies????
King James Bible
These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.JW.org is complettely dumbing down and shovelling diluted WT dribble as truth (no thinking required).
my old faithful parent (who has sacrificed) his short 77 yrs on this earth to WT.ORG just cant cope with technology...too bad so sad!

Persons who choose to live their lives according to a religious precept would at least expect fellowship and user friendly materials eg, magazines they can write on and read in bed.....
According to Webster’s New Collegiate Dictionary it means: (a) companionship, company, associate (vb.); (b) the community of interest, activity, feeling or experience, i.e., a unified body of people of equal rank sharing in common interests, goals, and characteristics, etc.; (c) partnership, membership (an obsolete usage but an important one. It shows what has happened to our ideas of fellowship).
Isn't the whole purpose of having a religious faith is interpersonal relationships?...... Not possible to create this electronically........JW.ORG has lost he plot.

ARC: WT cf VAG
by Joe Grundy in(i never was a jw).. as a retired child abuse professional, i followed (and continue to do so - it's an ongoing process) the arc proceedngs closely.
my understanding is that the purpose of the arc is to establish what current practices exist in various organisations and institutions, how those practices compare with accepted best practice, and what organisations and institutions need to do to bring their procedures and policies into line with best practice.
(and to find a way to compensate victims for what's been done wrong).. wt is case study #29 in the arc process.

Not rocket science Admit your faults, face up to them, change management if necessary, suggest a way to fix them, compensate victims.
The Royal Commission held a public hearing in Melbourne from Monday 2 February to Friday 13 February 2015. The hearing examined the response of Yeshivah Melbourne and Yeshiva Bondi to allegations of child sexual abuse.
MELBOURNE’S Yeshivah Centre has today agreed to compensate sexual abuse victims up to $80,000 each.
“The Yeshivah Centre deeply regrets its failure to protect those who were victims of sexual abuse perpetrated by people in a position of trust within the Yeshivah Centre and its schools.”
The Orthodox Jewish centre has set up an independent panel to determine the amount of payments made to victims on a case-by-case basis, with payouts dependant on whether a victim is deemed to have suffered significant abuse ($10,000 to $20,000), severe abuse ($20,000-$50,000) or extreme abuse ($50,000-$80,000).
“The scheme has been established to ensure that these wrongs committed against children will no longer go unnoticed or unacknowledged,” Mr Belfer wrote.
He said he did not know how many victims would come forward.
"We've got trained professional social workers who'll then meet with them, assess their claim and may also assist them if they have other issues they need psychological care or support [with]," Mr Debinski said.
"Yeshiva funds the scheme, but in every other respect we've been very careful and diligent to establish it in a way that all of the contact points are independent of Yeshivah."
“Often it’s not only the sexual abuse itself that leads to trauma, but also the secondary abuse brought on by the institution’s response — the cover-ups and intimidation — which often is worse than the primary abuse,” he said.
“There’s no doubt that many of us have been traumatised and re-traumatised by Yeshivah’s actions and inactions.
“But it’s great to see the wrongs of the past are finally being recognised.”
The Yeshivah Centre will hold a community event to discuss the sexual abuse on Wednesday at 7pm.
While not perfect at least it acknowledges the abuse and is establishing a redress scheme for sexual abuse victims.
