Ah Jeffro, All I can tell you is that I don't know many cops or emergency personnel that sport long hair and don't wear their badges unless they are undercover. I guess you would drive right by an official vehicle that had flashing lights and sirens going? I'll talk about this as long as you wish. I know there's nothing I can say to you to make you change your mind.

Ok ya'll here's my last post for now. I'll put it this way. The fact that some of you have doubts, is tied to the likelihood that many of you have been let down so much by religion (especially the WBTS), that anything supernatural like what I experienced just can't be possible. There has to be a logical explanation, so the thinking goes. When a person comes out of a cult of Christianity or Christianity as a whole, at times a person can be so turned off by "church" that they run in the other direction mentality and literally. We can agree to disagree on this one. Thanks for reading. Blessings........

Jeffro, you may be right. I may have misunderstood what she meant by her post. I really can't argue with you here. This was not the reason why I posted this thread. On a side note, my girlfriend is in school to be a Physiologist just like her grandma was. Maybe I can get a good discount eh? hehe

Jeffro wrote "I believe that you are relating the story as you remember it. I don't believe it happened the way you say it did. It is unlikely that the lights would happen to malfunction just the once and then continue to operate normally. I think it is more likely that you were distracted by an emergency vehicle, started turning against traffic, and panicked a little. Because you panicked, details got mixed up in your mind, and you confused some of the details, intertwined with your perception of what 'angels' might look like. There may have been accompanying factors to both your being distracted and your improper recollection, such as low blood pressure, dehydration, lack of sleep, and various other conditions. This is much much more likely."
Yes I can completely understand your logic here on your post. How can I word this to where it will make sense to you. I'm not trying to sound hard but I've seen a lot in my life including people that have been stabbed, I've been shot at (to be fair it was only a drive by but nevertheless they shot out my van window feet from me, my friends were shocked on how calm I was), have seen many sad/gruesome cornoer cases (think exposed blood, brains, bodily fluids, and stench/decomp before being embalmed) at the morgue when working at my former job/cemetary, drove on the scene of a hit and run, (with the decedent laying face down in a pool of blood and a missing leg, I remember looking for it but couldn't, I know she didn't make it) before any emergency personnel had arrived, and I see and hear ambulances just about every day. I live on a busy intersection and have seen more than a few accidents while living here. I once saw a pedestrian who got hit by a car and his loss of blood was seemingly beyond measure, exposed ribs etc. I'm not sure he made it either. I've been in car wreckS, one of which made my back worse.
Now why in the world did I say all of that? Well, it's the fact that I'm a little on the jaded side at times and don't get worked up like many people do on emergencies. I'm not trying to say I'm a hero though. All I'll say is that when I see an emergency vehicle with lights flashing and sirens blaring, I either A. move over to the shoulder like I'm supposed to or B. stay put if there's nowhere for me to go as this was the case. It wasn't until days later that I got all worked up on what had just happened with the two "cops" scenario. There's not much else I can say here.

"angels" who observed you for a short while until the signal changed. Even then, you were still confused. It may have been a mini brain stroke or a simple brain fart on your part. Have you seen a doctor yet? Those of us who recognize that left-turn signals DO NOT coincide with green lights for oncoming traffic
need to know you are okay so you don't COLLIDE with our vehicles and KILL us. Police "angels" notwithstanding, of course."You know, criticism still doesn't make up for your lack of cognitive understanding. It's rather mature to jump into conclussions of one's character, of a person that you've never met nor spoken to. I have broad shoulders so ya call me the crazy guy if you wish....I can deal.

Elsewhere wrote "Sounds like a typical funeral precession or some sort of official escort for a VIP. Traffic control vehicles speed ahead to each intersection to ensure the precession (or VIP) can drive through regardless of what color the traffic light is."
I can assure you it wasn't a funeral procession, that's what I was doing before I went on disability. I worked for a cemetary and have led MANY funeral processions including some big LA names. A very important motorcade usually involves scores of motocycle cops, like when we had our govenor Arnold Schwarzenegger and the LA mayor come out to our park. Once again as I already posted, If someone important was being transported, why were people not stopping for the sirens and lights? How about the cars positioned at my 9:00 taking a right when the coast was clear. They were going right past the flashing lights as well . I assure you this was not a motorcade. Please don't insult my intelligence.

Let's put it this way, even if a person were dead (clinically, no EKG readings etc) and came back to life days later, there's ALWAYS gonna be people that doubt a miracle. That's just our nature. I could tell you some of the miracles that I've witnessed and I just bet you could find a way to deny it. No hard feelings.

Rapunzel wrote "I am glad that you benefited from God's undeserved kindness in your traffic incident. But I have to wonder where God was when that tsunami struck south Asia a couple of years ago. You remember the one that killed an estimated 300,000, don't you? A truly nasty affair. Or, how about the thousands of people who die each day simply because they lack food and/or potable water? I'm glad that you find comfort in the idea that God sent angels to play traffic cop on your behalf. It kind of warms the heart, especially when one thinks of all those people who have died so needlessly in Iraq and the world over. Every day, people die horrible, agonizing deaths. Just think of Aushwitz, Dachau, Treblinka - a veritable litany that would make anyone start to sing: "What a wonderful, wonderful world!" And to think that God sent a couple of his very own "Eagle Scouts" to your rescue!"
I can't say that I have your answer but we don't always know what God's plans and purposes are. I know that statement sounds harsh huh? What I'm about to say is not for you to feel sorry for me but out of relevance to your post. I've had MANY family members and friends pass away in my life (suicide, Cancer, Lupis, carwrecks, heart attacks, murder etc), some young and some old. I'm not going to go into numbers but I assure you I've experienced loss and plenty of pain in my life. Yes I have blamed God for things in the past and even still do at times (out of frustration) but know at the end of the day I know God is in control. I'm currently in a challeging situation where I've been on disability for over 8 months and money is running out . I'm only 30. I'm also in quite a bit of pain but I choose to not be mad at God. I've been bordeline homeless a couple of times ( LA can be rough) but he has always provided. I'm not gonna go into a laundry list (I could write a book hehe), cause at the end of the day we all go through STUFF. Yes this life IS challeging BUT, it's nothing compared to eternity. And about Iraq, yes it's BS what's going on over there and I want my friends and family home like anyone else. Even if they came home tomorrow, it still doesn't bring dead loved ones back or give my friend back his leg that was taken by a RPG. "To much is given much is required", you can interpret that how you wish.

That's my take on it. Sorry to bust your bubble."If these "cops" were stopping me from turning because they were in a hurry to transport an important person, then why did they wait for all of the cars behind them to pass around them before taking off? It's pretty obvious that MOST people stop when they see emergency lights and hear sirens don't they? Why did none of these people? Let me reiterate that the "cops" DIDN'T get out and direct traffic. Yes the lights behind me were green as well, I do have a review mirror and I also stuck my head out of the window to check. It's ok bro, you're no bursting my bubble. We don't have to understand everything in life.

This happened to me years ago when I was still living in Nashville TN. I was driving home from work one day and I was in the turn lane getting ready to take a left. I had a green arrow and I proceeded into the intersection. Just before I turned, I heard sirens and saw flashing lights from two cars approaching me from the oncoming traffic. These two cars stopped in tandem, one right in front of the other and blocked me from turning. They beat all of the other cars in both lanes to get into the intersection first. What I didn’t realize was that even though I had a green arrow in my lane to turn, the oncoming traffic also had a green light to go straight. Just as I realized this fact, the oncoming traffic proceeded through the intersection towards me and then through the light.
The two cars each had one guy in it. I studied the guys and their cars (I'm very curious by nature), and made some observations. First, their cars had only flashing red lights with sirens blaring, however no cars from the oncoming traffic were stopping, but just kept on driving! Both cars had no license plates, no writings/markings anywhere, no tall antenna in the back (like you normally see on cop cars for their CB radios), and no other siren light colors other than red. All cop cars I’ve ever seen have had some mix of red/blue/amber light combination but never solid red. Fire department vehicles do, but aren’t people supposed to stop when they see emergency lights and hear sirens?
Now on to the two “cops”. This sounds weird but both guys had long hair, had no officer badges, grey uniforms (not the color Nashville PD wear) and they both just sat in their car with one hand out of the window motioning me not to turn. When they looked at me they didn’t seem to have much emotion, but just kept their eyes on me while waiting for traffic to pass. Once both lights went red, these “cops” just drove away lights flashing and sirens blaring, just like they had came in. I waited for the next rotation to turn left. Once my arrow turned green again, I took a very cautious left and parked by the sidewalk.
I watched that intersection’s lights for quite a few rotations, looking to see if they would malfunction again but they didn’t! Only that one time, when I was in the turn lane. The “cops” spared me a head on collision. No man could’ve predicted this was gonna happen only ONCE. All I can say is that angels protected me that day. For the record, no I’m not writing a book, nor did I get some revelation from these angels. I didn’t speak to them and nor they to me. I am just fully convinced that God protects us in so many ways that we don’t even know how. This is one instance where God had opened my eyes to allow me to see where he has showed me mercy. I don’t need these “miracles” to prove God or to love him, but when they happen, it reminds me that I serve a LIVING heavenly father that created everything. I‘ve witnessed other supernatural phenomena as well that maybe I'll share some other time.
Thanks for listening and keep looking up.
Blessings………
