  Songs that remind you of your Mum . . .

  i remember my mum standing at the kitchen sink preparing little cypriot meat patties in a beat up enamel dish.

  there was a window overlooking the small garden where me and my brother and sisters used to play (wonderful, wonderful times before the cult got its tentacles into our family).. my mum used to sing lots of tunes but this lynn anderson song is the one i remember .

  actually choking up a little .

  the love of animals

  no, not that sort of 'love'.

  how do you feel about animals?.

  never been one for pets although when a jw we had our fair share.. these days i just love looking out the window in the morning and seeing the wild rabbits eating our long grass (even though out here we are supposed do do out bit to eradicate the 'pest').

  I love animals as well. I love them so much that I eat their flesh and wear their skin. I love the "pest" animals(rats, pigeons, etc.) so much that I kill as many as I can. Let the cries of anguish and righteous indignation flow.

  Now, if you want to talk about dogs...I love dogs and have 2 of them and treat them with love and affection and when my 12 year old Chihuahua died recently I cried like a baby. I absolutely adored her. R.I.P. dearest Daisy

  my wife and i are thinking of moving our family to a better place in the us....away from jw family and out of the southern bible belt.

  just curious how many of you live around co and, more specifically, near fort collins?

  of course, we're open to any city that is less conservative and has awesome summer weather and outdoor activities.

  I find it hilarious when someone brags on their state and then gets bitchy that people want to move to their so-called "wonderful" state.

  By the way, I was engaged to someone from Denver, spent some time there and was not really impressed (except for the rapidity of the snow plows. Those people know how to clear a road)
