  my parents are zealous jecultah's blindnesses, but my sister and i are not.

  because of this, we are limited in our abilities/opportunities in life.

  mu parents hate my sister because she went to college and started a full time job and thus isn't able to go to meetings or service.

  Join the (live-in) conservation corps if you have to (if you live in the US). just kind of run away, and you will be transported to beautiful nature but harsh working conditions. At the end of a year you'll have a small educational stipend, and you can say it wasn't the military. A clean fade for a young one who isn't so sure about anything.

  great report by abc on the abuses in jw-dot-org land.... i hope it opens a "floodgate" of future news reports and exposes.

  if you ask yourself, "why hasn't the watchtower leadership changed their policy on the 2 witness rule?

  if one or more persons on the gb has victims out there that can't come forward because of the 2 witness rule, then that would explain the permanent road block to policy change that is obviously in place.

  They seem to be mostly about protecting their image and the respect due to the Governing Body in the minds of their followers. Why else would Gerrit Lösch refuse to appear in court even if it cost the Organization millions of dollars? The dignity of the office of the Governing Body is priceless to the Organization. Once you have a GB member being chewed out in a court of law by a secular judge on World News, the rank and file will start ignoring the GB and all hell will break loose.

  as i sat through another mind numbing sermon this morning i could not help thinking that the speaker was a total clown.. lime green suit, white shirt, yellow tie, blue socks barely higher than his ankle, brown shoes, and an orange cast.

  all that was missing was a big red rubber nose!

  and of course everyone remarked what a wonderful talk he gave.

  Let me count the ways I hate ties. Turtleneck and blazer or blue shirt and blazer are OK for little boys, maybe a bolo tie for regional pride, or even an ascot, but neckties on little boys is where I draw the line of child abuse.

  Drifting back from Orthodox to Rastafarian

  i couldn't keep the orthodox vegan fasting for lent.

  no dairy to bind the oxalates in all the soy products did a number on my stony kidneys.

  so i'm reverting back to rastafari i guess.

  Data dog I had chicken last night and it was delicious...I need the enzymes and calcium in yogurt and cheese to keep from getting kidney stones, but both dairy and meat are hard for me to digest. Being Vegan actually felt good and regular, until my kidneys told me something was wrong.

  Cappytan the only Dharmic religion that ever had any appeal to me was Sikh. I just can't believe anything a clean shaven man or unheadcovered woman says as a religious authority any more than a little boy or girl, I guess that makes me a bigot. In fact I should do a study with some Jehovah's Witnesses but make the brother wear a glue-on beard as a sign of respect to me as the householder.

  I couldn't keep the Orthodox Vegan fasting for Lent. No dairy to bind the oxalates in all the soy products did a number on my stony kidneys. So I'm reverting back to Rastafari I guess. I just can't walk the walk of Orthodoxy. Now everybody thinks Rastafari is a cult. but it sure has the healing for the kidney problems caused by trying to keep Orthodox. Controversial beliefs and practices yes, top-down high control no. Now my wife is going to slander me, but its my life and my Rasta brethren were there before my marriage and they will be there after my marriage. I was a Rastafarian since 16 years old, converted to Ethiopian Orthodoxy in 2004, met and married my JW wife a couple years later, but never really renounced being a Rastafarian. 11 years later I just can't keep the discipline, spent all my money on vegetarian food I can't eat because of high oxalates, spent the rest of my money on the doctor. No money to go to church. But my Rasta brethren are always there for me. Thank God I don't need a Church and I don't need a Gang. All the Churches have gone astray JW especially which is why I bear the mark of a Nazarite. I want the world to call me a dirty dreadlock hippie, for the scorn of the world is a blessing from Jah that the JWs think they know but they really don't.
