  Sorry daCheech, I have the hottest new babe right in my OWN house. If you've been married that long and still an active jw for whatever reasons, you need to liven up your home life. Babes on Tv can't help you friend. It only leads to more of the frustration that the wts gives you. Sorry, it's the truth.

  So, did YOU ever buy into bothering people on the holidays? I personally could never bring myself to do it. After all, everyone has a right to there own own privacy on such days. Why bother them with the company line of paganism, when we KNOW that they are celebrating it RIGHT THEN! Self defeating is what it is. For heavens sake, give it a rest sometme, eh?

  So, knowing that the jw's haven't found me at home here yet, I think they've only been through my new sub once in 18 months, I am curious to see if they will try today.

  i just learned that one of my children has bi-polar illness,,,i am so disheartened for him,,,,do any here know about this.

  Good question. I don't know of any thters in my family with it, now or in the past. However, I do have some strange family members. I think my mother and I were the only sane ones in the bunch. maybe some of them aren't admitting to it??

  Exactly so. Had the society taken the opinion towards the nazis, as they had toward the Mexican authorities on the issue of military registration, BRIBES were ok, there would have been less grief on jw's part. This runs parallel to the accounts of the jw's in Malawi. All for the sake of a priciple. All the jw's in either Malawi or nazi germany would have to have done was apply"Theocratic Tact", as it was.

  Hello orb, I also have a son, 27, with bi-polar disorder. When he is on his meds he does fine. There is a fine line between drs. and common sense. I feel very deeply for you. The lows can be very upsetting for those of us who love these people. As mentioned here prior, do the research, educate yourslef in alll aspects of the disorder, then deal with it accordingly. There isn't much that we ourselves can do for our loved ones so afflicted. All we can do is try to understand them , but bi-polar is a verrrrrrry deep seated illness. Some of it is chemicals in the brain other contributing factors are life impacting events earlier in life. Take care dear, but please do the research for youself.

  WELL DONE CARLA! Yes, at times we all make many diverse comments. Most of them are well intended. Not so much as to vent, but more so to help others identify with our own life's expierences. As we express ourselves here,we continue to grow in the LOVE that we once were taught to embrace. One needs not an organization to gather people together, for we are all drawn together as ONE in our expressions of faith and our disappointment in MEN!

  We are a very diverse assortment of peoples.With many varying views on religion, faith, lack of, absence of, or those who have no spiritual need. We don't condemn , judge or cast any off as of no account. We ALL count in the sea of humanity. To be humane to another is the ultimate expression that any one of us can make. Many of us here have not been treated very humanely by THOSE that you would think had the utmost capacity to do so. Remember, Love never remembers the wrong.

  No matter what the expression that is put forth here, I deeply appreciate and embrace it.

  what do you remember as your favorite childhood christmas, whether your family was in or out?

  mine was all my cousins coming to visit over the holidays, and a big turkey dinner.

  Sorry restrangled......I can identify with most who grew up as jw's. I was 5 when my mom got baptized, dad never did. Last christmas tree I remember seeing I was probably only 3. I am so sorry to say that this subject brings back a lifetime of hurt for me. I am sure others know what I am talking about. No birthday parties at school, no holloween , no sports, no college.................................Sorry, bad subject, let's save it for another post.
