No matter what you do, please please never lose site of this website. Anyone you tell that you look at this site will scream APOSTATE!!! And freak out to you that we are all a bunch of angry, devilish people trying to lead you astray, the fact of the matter is, the sad truth is we were all EXACTLY where you are and where they are before, only we did the ONE thing that the organization forbid, we looked at things thay forbid us to look at.. and it made a huge difference becasue they were covering up MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF INFORMATION.They dont want you to look at anything out side of the "truth" because it can't hold up. THe BIBLE stresses to compare, to search, to investigate, yet the watchotwer forbids it, HOW DOES THAT MAKE SENSE?
Romans 12:2: And quit being fashioned after this system of things, but be transformed by making YOUR mind over, that YOU may prove to yourselves the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Dictionary definition of PROVE:
to a subject to a test, experiment, comparison , analysis, or the like, to determine quality, amount, acceptability, characteristics, etc.: to prove ore.Acts 17:11- ...carefully examining the Scriptures daily as to whether these things were so. Dictionary definition of examine:
1. to inspect or scrutinize carefully 3. to inquire into or investigate 4. to test the knowledge, reactions, or qualifications of (a pupil, candidate, etc.), as by questions or assigning tasks. Proverbs 14:15 15 Anyone inexperienced puts faith in every word, but the shrewd one considers his steps. Dictionary def. of "consider"
1. to think carefully about, esp. in order to make a decision; contemplate; reflect on: 8. to view attentively; scrutinize.
BY THE BIBLE'S OWN RECOMENDATION, SCRUTINY IS ENCOURAGED. NOT ONE VERSE ANYWHERE DISCOURAGES IT. CHECK FOR YOURSELF. -

Also wanted to add I'm going through a divorce too... I'm seven months out from "break up day", yesterday for you.... I had a huge break through about a month ago when a depressing that always made me want to off myself came on played on the radio and I realized it did not bring those feelings up, at all..... In the beggining I felt just like you, but month by month it is getting easier, I am seeing there is a light at the end of the tunnel and maybe, just maybe, it is for the best. Day by day you can't see the progress but in a year from now, and a year is not a long time (just think every time your bday comes its like holy shit another year passed) the difference will be monumental. You are a LOT stronger than you realize, and although it feels like it, your heart will continue to beat. Stay away from any drugs and alcohol becasue it will only make it worse and keep yourself busy. The only time I had "breakdowns" were when I was alone and allowing myself to have a pity party. Go pace in a store, on a public street, anywhere but not alone...

Ok, well first thing first, I have some questions, I have receives some traumatic injuries to my back a few times that required surgury, and I;m only 26 already. I was in intense pain and miserably, which made me very crabby and angry. How supportive have you been? Seriously? I know it can be ANNOYING to wait on someone who is whinning and in pain, but sometimes it is needed. Also, did she just get off the medication that she was on for all those mothes? Its possible she became dependant on the medications and if the DR removed them, or changed them, there could be some chemical changes going on in her brain that need adjusting. Is this sudden? Unexpected? Any clue? Is there someone else? If there are no answers to that it could be psycholocical, meaning a tumor or something (THIS IS RARE RARE RARE, BUT Ive seen it happen personally, with a coworker) Brain problems can alter your personality suddenly and with no explanation. If your wife even has no reason for why she feels this way she might want to see a DR just to eliminate any organic causes. You seemed to mention the back injury for a reason though so I'm thinking you feel there is a connection. Does she feel like a burden suddenly, wants to "free" you? I felt that way once.... I hated the fact I had to be cared for. I couldn't even bathe myself for months at a time once... It was awful.

can anyone put a link to the cross thread to use as a good example of how scandalous they are? I don't know how? The one from a few day a go where they intentailly misapplied and misquoted out of a book to make it LOOK like a professional refrence said Christ was impaled on a stake when it actaully said the opposite...

My best advice to you and I can not stress this enough is to put off the baptism. Once you are baptised into this you can never ever leave without scarring and ruiiing your life for eternity. joined at nineteen, I was my only family member. I was in for nine years before I got the courage to leave. It only took me two years to figure out it was not the "truth" but took me years to get the courage to not be "shunned" bythe disfellowshipping arrangement. Eventually, I just said I'd rather live hated than live a lie. So now I'm shunned. The watchtower ruined my life. I WANTED it to be true so badly that I turned a blind eye to things that should have been so obviuous (like the fact that they say Jesus returned invisibly in 1914, ehen christs return should be seen by everyone, and scripture warms us agsinst anyone who says that christ has arrived as a false prohet) I wanted to chande my life, and they a had good things to say, I justified any doubts I had, The problem is, once your "in" you are a freaking robot. Once I had a dount on something and elders came to my door with pamphelts and printouts accusing me of being an apostate a day later when I aksed THEM for help on my doubt (you CAN NOT HAVE DOUBTS, YOU MUST ALL BELIVE THE SAME AND HAVE COMPLETE ZOMBIE FAITH) Just put off the baptism ok, theres no undoing that....

LIfe crisis, or the un crisis, I quit drugs and alcohol, then got sucked in... i found this too....
Who is vulnerable to cults?
Everyone has the potential to be susceptible to cult recruitment and coercion at particularly vulnerable points of their life.
Transitional times tend to increase vulnerability:
- During a vacation
- First year away at school
- A year "off" or after graduation
- A job change or loss
- After suffering any loss
- Upon reaching new life stages
- Following the break-up of a relationship
- Soon after moving to another city or country
- During a search for meaning, or to "find oneself."
- Lonely, without, or away from friends or family
Who is the "typical" recruit?
The recruit can be almost anyone including:
- From middle to upper socio-economic family backgrounds
- Sixteen to senior citizen
- Of average or above-average intelligence
- Usually well educated, including college graduates
- Intellectually curious
- Idealistic or seeking meaning or purpose in life
- Most vulnerable between high school and college, and between college and career
- When temporarily unattached
