my boyfriend was a jw for most of his life, he is no longer participating in the religion.

we are not married and i'm now pregnant.

does any one know and can advise me what i can expect from his parents once they find out?

This is overwhelming. So much to consider beyond normal. I am thankful for all your messages it does help me have a better idea of what we are in for. My bf has been very supportive of me. He chose not to tell his family yet, he isn't ready. My family is very supportive of us. We've talked about some of the things you guys have suggested, and I feel more calm now. I don't think he would go back but I told him anyway that I don't want my child to grow in that religion or atmosphere. I want it to have a better chance at life and better childhood memories than he did.
Can I say I love you guys, even if I haven't met you? Hormones making me mushy ji ji ji jiji

Hi y'all
My choice is to keep my baby. We are adults with steady jobs and live together. We were not planing on having children yet, but it happened. I don't want to get married because of this. I hope they don't try anything as crazy as trying to take my baby away because that will be it! I have been patient with them, respectful. But it is my baby, my life. I just think it is not fair that they make someone's life miserable just because they don't share your beliefs. I'm worried about my boyfriend because I need him to be there for me, I don't want to make a desicion against him because of what his parents do. This sucks! I wanna be happy about having my first baby!

Oh, and I won't respond positively to a bible study. I have no interest in joining a cult, christian or not. In that case what could they do? Would they cutoff all communication with their son? Would they treat him badly?

Yes, he was baptized. He has not gone to a meeting or preach in two years, or an assembly.
Thank you all for replying. I am have a hard time imagining how they will react and behave in this matter. I would like to be prepared because I feel that it will be like a storm hitting on us.

My boyfriend was a JW for most of his life, he is no longer participating in the religion. We are not married and I'm now pregnant. Does any one know and can advise me what I can expect from his parents once they find out? His parents are still very devoted JW. I don't have a relationship with them since they like to pretend that I don't exist and I'm not part of their son's life.
