i was just reading lady libertys' post and i found myself getting angrier and angrier.

the way they can blatently lie.

granted it's not all of them, but it's the ones' in ""power"" and your family (that's what happend to me) .

COULD YOU HANDLE LIFE ALONE?

if you mate died suddenly or left you, could you handle life alone?

would you remain single or get married again?

i ask this because my brother in law's witness mom just died recently, and we're wondering how his dad is going to handle life alone now.

I love living alone. I've been married twice and been in two long term common law relationships ( yeah yeah I know I'm only 42). My 23 year old daughter just moved out and lordy lordy I'm in my glory. I've been taking care of someone since I got married the first time at 17 (true blue JW back then).

I do not enjoy battling over money, sex, who I'm gonna hang out with, who's gonna pick up that plate or wash the dishes. Now, I know that if a plate is left on the counter - i did it.

Right now, the man I'm with, I lived with for 5 years, split up and got back together again, but we DO NOT live together and so far he seems ok with that - he wants to get married and I dread the day he pushes the issue, but for now he's good with the status quo. Like one of the other posters, he is an aquarius, I didnt know about the "dont crowd us" thing ofthe aquarius, so maybe thats why he's so cool about it!

So yes can and am handling it - and loving every minute of it.

I hate Pot Luck

this friday, we're having a pot luck at work before we all go on holidays for a week.

i hate pot luck, especially when it's at work.

i gave my wife heck for throwing out that open package of crackers that was sitting on top of the microwave for the last couple of months.

I Talked To A JW Yesterday About "The Truth"

he sat next to me while i was having lunch.

he smalltalked and then asked, "sooo doya think you'll ever come back to the truth?

my response, with a laugh was "nope".. i then remarked that there are a lot of "good" people that are witnesses and then asked him, do you think you'd ever leave the organization?

I am an active publisher that has not attended a meeting in 5 year

Things must have changed drastically since the last time I was in a Kingdom Hall - there was no way a person could be an active publisher and not go to meetings.

this is an idea that really freaked me out when i was still "in".

i asked it several times in groups of friends, and i would get two reactions: confusion/not understanding, and silence/looking at the ground.

if you die, and your body disinegrates, and the soul doesnt live on; in fact, nothing lives on, then what is resurrected?

Cindi I think I remember that one - seems to me I asked the same question at one point - I lost my fiance to a car accident - he was only 22 - and I couldnt believe that even after he was "resurrected" his life would virtually be over. I needed answers and I got the same response "we will just have to wait and see what Jehovah has in store for us". Not a very satisfying answer for a 22 year old that had just lost her fiance.

Most days I never think of the JW religion now

I wish I could say the same - having been born and bred a witness, I find it still colors almost every part of my life - which makes it difficult when you are trying to be a sinner! lol j/k
