for those of you who fly
by stillajwexelder infor those of you who fly which airline is your favorite ?

Have flown so much in the past year have reached platinum status. My airline of choice is delta, some of the reasons are frequency of flights available, professional flight crew, arrival and departure times have a high percentage of not being late, planes are in good mechanical working order. There any many other carries who do not keep up on the maintenance and farm out the work to inferior workgroups. Delta uses genuine parts vs generic.

I question if it would have really mattered. I read some time ago that they had more of a business like marriage. It was a marriage void of sex.

I think that tithing would prob work out to be less money. In the past 5 years or so they have had constant resolutions. It was voted on to give so much per publisher to build an apartment for the C. O., we just built a new assembly hall, renovated the existing kingdom hall(they went over budget by $35,000), increased the amount for the D.O. because of higher medical and car insurance costs, money for land for a new hall due to increased growth.

When Making Decisions - Do You View Taking Risks as Positive or Negative?
by flipper inyou know we all took a risk in leaving the jehovah's witness organization .
and for many of us this risk has proved to be a positive force in our lives .
it has opened up a new possibility of an uncharted, yet exciting future for us to pursue , whether it be going back to college and getting an education , or if we are religious , some here have found a more appropriate religion for themselves.

I took a big risk rescently. I found my sister whom I had not spoken to in over 20 years (the person who studied with us said to cut all contact with wordly family). Iam happy to say she welcomed me with open arms. We had many tears but there was such joy. She had been my best friend my whole life till the JW's came along.

I view it as something very positive. I invite new opportunity's and challenges. When I was JW I felt stagnant and did not feel challenged. The society placed so many restrictions on us that I felt locked in to a life of meetings and service. If one strayed from that path for even a moment then your spitituality was in jeopardy(per the org).
I feel like I just wokeup and am happy to see and feel life. It has been wonderful these past few months and it can only get better.

Drinking & Jehovah's Witnesses
by minimus inyou know, i knew a lot of bethelites and every one of them loved their booze.
as an elder, i would entertain alot of the cos, dos and bethelites and their wives.
it was not unusual for the wives to get loaded while they were at my house!

Don't stand too close to some of them on meeting night. The liquor smell from thier breath would mow you over. Amazing!!!!!!!!!! The number of them that attended the meeting while under the infulence. It no wonder they all had sh## eating grins all night.

JW'S Biggest Hypocrites in Society Today
by whatistruth inmost of its members say one thing in their comments at the meetings, preach one thing in service, and pray yet another to their god.
but on the whole most jw's get drunk, have sex or "fool around" before marriage, get involved in some type of drugs (weed), lie.
and these practices are done on a regular basis by most jw's at one time or another without ever coming forward.. goes to show motive for being a jw is nothing more than fear.

I know a JW who use to smoke a lot of pot. He really misses it so now he attends concerts and inhales deeply from the ones around him who are smoking. He says he has a clean conscience because he is not actulaay smoking it.
