  Mr. Flipper Talks with Bethel Legal Service Desk Rep About JW Child Abuse

  well - i had been wanting to do this for a long time , to question a legal department representative at bethel about the child abuse settlements and jw child abuse, since last year when the news came out about it.

  especially since my dad , an elder for years was never aware of it and has on his own taken steps to see that families with children are informed if a former pedophile is in their congregation.

  i was curious as to what the current views and policies in place are .

  Asked a deep question to my father last night

  im in bed trying to get shut eye and just cant because of this repeating question that i have in my head.

  i know what the answer is to the question, but i need to hear it from the horses mouth.

  so in my 30th hour of being awake i get the courage to dial 411 and call my father whos an elder that i havent spoken to for 10 years.

  Wow, Alex...

  There has to be a point where they just say, "wow, this is to much... Something is really wrong if I'm not willing to go to my own son's funeral." I mean, sins are forgiven if you die... How horrible that they wouldn't go to your funeral...

  You must have two witnesses to an act of child abuse before the 'alleged' abuser is dealt with.
  
  Debatable whether this is still a rule or not.

  You would think at one point common sense would kick in...

  Did Being a J W - Cause You to Be Cynical and Doubt Other People ?

  when we were once jehovah's witnesses - we were taught to doubt others " in the world " whose beliefs differed from ours .

  we were taught to be cynical of any views that didn't harmonize or agree with the watchtower societies views .

  so for years many of us were programmed like this - to keep a closed mind and think that there was only one correct way to believe things , and everybody outside that one way was full of you know what !

  I've been diagnosed with "Paranoid Personality Disorder"...

  My family wonders why...

  The problem with me was that I was taught not to trust worldly people but then the closest JWs to me betrayed my trust...

  But, honestly, since I've been here, I've worked through a ton of stuff. I've never felt so at peace and content... I'm becoming less jealous, more positive, less argumentative, and for some reason more sexual and just all around happier!

  I never knew what was wrong with me before... Now, I think I've figured it out...

  how can they clam to have the holy spirit?.

  the jc that df'ed my brother one of the elders was screwing a married sister!.

  i know of at least 2 cases of that.. one guy was po for many years turns out he had been screwing his own daughter since she was little.. .

  there was an elder that asked me to fix his computer.

  i was being nosy and found out he looked at a lot of porn.

  he was a nice guy and was at bethel for years... i never said anything about it....

  The big "F" word. AND my dad sat in on the whole thing. So I clammed up and they viewed it as unrepentant. And the servant I had "F" ed with lied and was reproved.

  Your Dad sat on it??? Oh, good lord...
