  Why can a JW get a boob job but not a tatoo???

  that makes no sense to me.

  you'd get yourself in a jc for a tatoo but i've seen a couple of jws get a boob job and nothing happen... the hypocrisy in endless... .

  i was about 4 or 5 years old.

  they must of been talking about prejudice in the meeting or something.

  that's when i first learned about it.

  Even another one was at the Elders school around that time when they reminded us that elders could have been involved in WT-defined sins a few years back (which literally meant "3" years but they didn't want to say) but their continued service as elders would make the whole thing go away without restrictions or nothing. Members who are not elders don't get such a chance. It just encouraged elders to hold their secret for 3 years and then only come forward if their conscience bothered them.

  you'd get yourself in a jc for a tatoo but i've seen a couple of jws get a boob job and nothing happen... the hypocrisy in endless... .

  Undercover - I believe with a tatoo you'd be thrown in a JC and a boob job you wouldn't... The elders may mark you but you wouldn't have a JC over it... I'm guessing your MS or Elder hubby wouldn't be able to be one if you made a huge size difference and everybody noticed... Correct me if I'm wrong though...

  calanders have been shrunk to half {less room for hours} awake is now monthly, the watchtower has a "witness only" edition and now.....the bibles are soft cover like the "book of mormon".......less cash out i guess..

  I was about 4 or 5 years old. They must of been talking about prejudice in the meeting or something. That's when I first learned about it. I kept asking my Dad about it because I didn't understand it. Anyways, my mom said that people used to have everything divided. Like different schools, bathrooms, etc - for white and black.

  I asked my mom, did witness separate everything out like that? She said that they did. I wasn't to happy about this. I thought the organization did everything right so surely they would know not to separate things out by a persons skin color... That just didn't sit well with me at all... I was disappointed...
