  Former WT attorney Olin Moyle's papers at Princeton University

  olin r. moyle was an attorney for the watchtower society from 1935 to 1939. he left bethel in 1939 due to becoming disillusioned with "judge" rutherford's conduct.

  a copy of moyle's resignation letter can be found here: http://www.watchtowerdocuments.com/downloads/1939%20olin%20moyles%20letter%20to%20rutherford.pdf.

  the letter enraged rutherford, and he immediately dismissed moyle and his wife from bethel.

  Finally finding my way out...

  well, its been about 2 1/2 years and have slowly done less and less.

  i've been to about 30 minutes of a meeting in the last month and a half where i stayed out back and with my daughter.. i've been looking for the right timing to leave but had decided i will go anyways by the time my daughter is about 1 years old.

  but, it just so happens that my some members of my family including and mostly my parents have actually given me a good enough of an excuse to get out.. they have broken to many rules.

  lol, hotspur. One of these days!!! I hope soon. I just feel like there is just 1 thing thats gonna happen that makes it all click for him. I've never really felt that close to it clicking with him until now. I just see how many things he sees clearly and you look at him and see his mind is filling up with all these red flags and it just doesn't make sense to him... But, the lightbulb still hasn't actually gone off yet...

  I've been looking for the right timing to leave but had decided I will go anyways by the time my daughter is about 1 years old. That time has come. But, it just so happens that my some members of my family including and mostly my parents have actually given me a good enough of an excuse to get out.

  They have broken to many rules. Not just regular rules. Not JW rules. Rules that go against my instinctive morality. They have disgusted my husband to the point where he has said that the elder arrangement has to be a political arrangement. He is still somewhat in though.

  I no longer feel the burden of trying to stay in for my family. I never felt the need to stay in for my husband and feel a strong need to get out for my daughter.

  When it comes to my husband, I simply don't say anything about it. I just don't go. He hasn't been going a lot either anyways. We are to busy living life and enjoying everything.

  no matter what the society does to try to attempt to fix this generation debacle, there is no way they can ever get it in jwa minds that the end will come past 2014.. nobody even gets or understands the change.

  nobody cares.

  generation will always mean to them up to 100 years!

  idk, maybe it will go on... But, I can say this. I think there will be a very good amount of people that this will be the last straw for. And, even though years ago when they did the same types of things and they simply recruited and got there numbers back up, I don't believe it will be as easy today to do the same. For a few reasons:

  1. This is the information age. With a click of a button people can see very quickly what JWs are all about.

  2. They don't have the history and reputation they did years ago. Years ago, everything was exciting! They were new and had new ideas. Now, they have turned that into something very different. They are known very well for there unloving ways and false promises. There reputation proceeds them and the only way they really grow is two different ways: children born into it and third world countries where people simply are not as educated.

  3. As I said before, one of the main reasons there numbers will go up is growth in 3rd world countries. These countries are very poor and will not be able to give to the society the money other countries can. Those countries that can give money the numbers will probably not grow very well at all... So, the society will end up having to support this work and get less and less money coming in.

  I do really believe that there are a lot of people in it now that are simply stuck. Take my family for example. About 1/2 the people couldn't care less about it either way. They just kinda go to tag along but they don't really care all that much.

  The JWs are very different then they were years ago. The newness and excitement has worn off. The old days of using the bible a ton have been replaced with ready made beliefs told to you in WT, Awakes, and so forth. A lot people simply don't even know or care 1/2 of what they believe in.

  I do think things are very different then they were before and the BORG doesn't have it as easy as they did before.

  Nobody even gets or understands the change. Nobody cares. Generation will ALWAYS mean to them UP TO 100 YEARS!

  Even if they got some sorta gist that it might mean a "time period", there is NOTHING the society can do about the promise they made. Millions now living WILL never die. They can't go back on that. What's done is done, there is nothing they can do about it now. And everybody knows about that book.

  Nobody cares about the generation change because everybody already has things set in there minds and there is nothing that can change that.

  After talking to many people about it, that is what I believe to be true. What is your opinion?
