i wondered when it would happen!

twice this past week, they have had the cart set up at the end of the kh property on the main road.

the two people with it were sitting about 100 feet back, in the shade of a tree.

Can disassociated ones get reinstated without proving repentance?

one of the jw high-ups questioned by the australian royal commission (i think it was o'brien) stated that those who had disassociated (as opposed to being disfellowshipped) do not have to undergo a lengthy reinstatement procedure of proving repentance over many months, but can simply ask to be reinstated immediately.

is this true?

has anyone heard of this ever happening?.

in todays news from australia it appears that, despite his previous declination to appear when invited, justice mcclellan from the australian royal commission on child sex abuse will officially summon brother geoffrey jackson to the stand after all.. ..... the commission was due to conclude its hearings into the jehovahs witnesses on wednesday but justice mcclellan said he will now call geoffrey jackson, a senior member of the churchs governing body in new york who is currently in australia, to appear next week.. .

Village Idiot - at least a few people on this forum who have met him got a very good impression of him.

I doubt he would have lasted this long either; however, we really don't know anything for sure.

It's just another perspective. Either way; it will be interesting to see how this plays out.

I wonder if it's better that it's him. If he's sincere, loving and humane in his actions, I would think he couldn't help but be honest in the way he takes the stand. Maybe this would wake him and countless others, because of his sincere nature and the fact that the RC won't let them get away with anything.

Whereas, anyone else would tow the line.

The more I think about it, the more I'm glad it's him...

I Made the Literature Trolley Run Away Today - Twice

i popped into town this morning to buy an anniversary card for mrs cofty.

it is market day on a saturday and it's tourist season so the town was very busy.

here is a picture of the scene from a year ago... two cult carts were in their favourite place being guarded by none other than one of the elders who was on my judicial committee, his wife and another jw woman in her electric disability buggy.

Anyways, this made me laugh. They are so silly. It made me feel like he was lying the second he so quickly said that he wasn't keeping up with events and then, "I'm not interested." Right away he goes into defense mode...
