  what is the proof it should be there?.

  i've brought up to jws that revelation says not to take anything out or you will get the second death.. but they are ok with it because they compare it to not using the book of thomas, mary, etc.. what would you say to that?.

  Phizzy- thank you for your help. If I'm understanding this correctly, it was in the final canon when it was closed in the 4th century whereas the book of Mary and Thomas were not in that version?

  blondie- they don't have different sized bibles.

  dear forumites, i need your advise please.. i would like to write a letter to the world headquarters of the jehovah's witnesses regarding a subject that i've published an article recently.

  i would like to draw the attention of the gb to said article, which i will send in print form (therefore, no attention would be drawn to the website where it was published).. naturally, because i am a jehovah's witness in good standing in the congregation and what i'll be discussing in my letter will be a dissenting view from the official doctrine/practice, i want to protect my identity and i don't want to be harassed by elders or subjected to any sort of judicial investigation.

  nevertheless, i would be very interested in reading their response (if any) to my letter.. how can i do that?

  All they have to do is put the first semtence or two of your article in quotes and google will direct them straight to your website.

  So, why is the book of Thomas and Mary not in there but that illustration in the book of John is in there? Or, at least in other bibles.

  I've already said that about chapters not being there either but they keep going back to the book of Thomas and Mary. It seems to go around in circles...

  Ever feel guilty for learning the TTATT?

  i feel like i've always been a bit of a selfish person.

  i try to be loving and humble, but i really have to work at it and am usually not successful.. anyways, tonight i watched my younger sister.

  she is the most loving person i have ever met it my life.

  Anyways, tonight I watched my younger sister. She is the most loving person I have ever met it my life. I watch as she grows a bit more hardened, because she feels it is the loving way to be.

  I came home from her house, and read the handmade birthday card my nephew wrote to me. He loves me so much. But, I don't feel I'm deserving of it. I wasn't there for his birth, my younger sister was. I wasn't around most of the time when he was little whereas my younger sister was always, always around.

  I have put little effort in and yet he adores me whereas my younger sister put years of effort in and he couldnt care less it seems...

  I feel this is simply because he has picked up on the fact that I know TTATT so he can relate me. Yet, my younger sister gets screwed out of a relationship she has worked so much harder at, and is so much more deserving of...

  Going out with a bang

  after much deliberation, i decided to go "out" at the end of a public talk.

  it didn't go down too well, but at least i was able to give some of my reasons for leaving.. i've put some of the details on my homepage.

  i'll update it more when i get the time and the strength.

  I keep checking in on this thread waiting for Slim to come out and finally tell us it was a joke...

  Poor guy. I hope you find the happiness you are seeking. If it doesn't work out with the JWs, we will still always be here with open arms and open hearts.
