Going to YouTube and show her some videos on other cults... The similarities might jump out at her. I think I got that from Steve Hassan, but can't remember.... -

Adele's new album....
by _Morpheus inadele's new album came out today.
so far i love it, although one of the songs feels a bit overwrought to me.
i find her to be at her best, as i always have, when she is singing only accompanied by a piano.

Freedom in admitting the truth...
by _Morpheus infor those that lurk or havnt decided to post yet.... living a lie is difficult.
nobody would likely disagree with that... many of us lived or are living the wt lie for the sake of friends or family.
it can eat at us and put us in situations where we frame half truths, try to find tactful way to avoid telling people what we really think.. there is great freedom in being able to admit truths.

Morph - This is beautifully said. It's my belief that the only way to find truth is to be willing to be wrong. -

Over-protective parent?
by GrownMidget ini was something like 20-21 and there was this young sister, maybe 16 who i happened to like back in the day ... uh oh ...we met in the summer convention because i made the first move while she was playing board games with her friend.
we kept in touch via skype and text messages because lived kinda far from each other.
eventually her mother heard of the stuff and said to her daughter that the chatting must stop.... well, when two people have a little crush on one another, it sure doesn't.

feelings about social acceptance influence how a parent reacts.
No, I've seen firsthand the effects of what this can do to a kid.
16 is ok, why not 15? The kid we are talking about might be 16. Why not 14, it's only the difference of a year. Could we push for 13?
Don't get all mad at the JWs for child molestation on a young teenager when at the same time you are ok with someone playing with this sort of fire.
At some point, a line needs to be drawn. Saying, "maybe 16" is a problem. At the very least, it's playing with fire....

So, I guess what's child molestation in one country is perfectly acceptable in another.
Excuse me while I go vomit...

Dog - Yes, if you are 17 and he/she is 18 there could be charges. Usually, nobody presses charges, but, it's possible and has happened... -
