  So, Kingdom News #37 was intended to start the great tribulation?

  i have seen the following statement made on this board several times: 'kn #37 ("the end of false religion is near") was intended by the wbts to provoke the great tribulation.

  that's an intriguing thought.

  i'm just curious where it came from.

  I have been asking that all over the place about that Tract for about a year. I got it in the door in Nov 06 and it frightened me. IN 2006 I didn't have the Info I have now to prove the Watchtower is a Lie. When I started asking about the reactions of ex JWs and others about the tract I found that lots didn't even know about it and people in the "world" could care less and thought it was a joke. I didn't see any reaction at all from the Churches. Obviously it didn't get any attention and it didn't Provoke the Great Tribulation. I just bet they were trying to either provoke it or give the Sheep JWs a big shove to believe and do more Service.

  What Homophobia REALLY means.

  i know from my own life experience, that repressed sexual expression leads to externalizing that repression and projecting it upon others.

  fear, anger, and self loathing is the bottom line.

  when i finially was freed of the jw beliefs, and then later came out to friends (actually, i was outed), i had a new awareness dawn on me one day.

  Thanks for the explanation, I am confused at times when I see comments from people here and it seems they are Pro JW's thoughts. I see what you mean about some people still having the MINDSET of them but still not being for them. Makes Perfect Sense.

  I agree that everyone should share their opinions and this place has lots of them. Thats why we aren't in the Watchtower Society anymore because we want to have FreeMINDS

  Most people try to do the best they can most of the time

  as a jw we were taught most people are evil, worthy to be destroyed soon by god.

  there is evilness in the world unfortunately, but now i think most people are trying their best and trying to improve, work hard and successfully, be honest, take care of their families, etc..

  I was raised in the truth and I was taught and brainwashed into thinking only JW's were honest and kind and loving. Only JWs could have good family lives because of all the bible principles being followed. When I grew up I was puzzled as to why I wasn't seeing this. I met other people who were not JW's and they seemed kinder and more loving than the ones in the so called truth. I have met tons of people who have good principles and they are not following the Watchtower beliefs. In fact I have found people who are not JW's who follow Christian or Moral teachings have in many cases much happier familys and their children don't rebell and hate their parents because things are shoved down their throat and end up being Lies.

  Here in Canada they will have to start walking out in Service. They carpool don't they? Everyone in my Moms congregation seemed to own Vans.

  Last week when I gassed up it was $1.07 a litre which works out to the US Gallon to be about $4.86 a Gallon.

  Go pray to God sincerely in your heart and He will take this desire away from you.

  I am confused, and i would like to understand what is going on with some of you and your lives. I am fairly new here, thats my excuse for my ignorance. Anyway the quote above, does he/she suggest that you pray for God to take the desire away (for What) Being Gay???

  If so I thought we were all ExJW's here and finally had OPEN minds. I thought we were free of Judgemental attitudes

  a lot of posters use smileys other than the standard fare... kinda fun.... i haven't figured out how to use upgraded smileys without an advetisement for the smileys appearing at the bottom of the post... .

  I have never heard of Azerbaijan before, do you actually live there. Sounds very exotic. I looked it up on the map Wow far away and near Russia and Iran. Were you a JW there? Looks like its mostly is Muslim.

  yes we could have been sisters, were you 3 in that photo??? I hate to tell you when my photo was taken My Mom gave me an awful perm when I was 7 I hated it.
