I have a new great-grandson!!

I myself am excited that my baby daughter who is 33 years old is having a baby in October and will be having a boy who will be named Erik. I never knew that it would be joyful having grandchildren but I can hardly wait.,

little children by tom perrotta.. excellently portrayed 2 unhappily married suburbans who's repetitive wrong choices impact a their dull lives, yet alter your own moral thinking of them being heroic in their quest to find happiness with a self imprisoned/trapped marriage they each lead.

Great thread, I am always looking for new authors and books to read. I am reading a lot of books lately, now that its pool weather and also because I am slightly immobilized with severe back pain. So I sit a lot.
I will look into that book Little Children, isn't it a movie now???
I recently read Khalid Hosseinis two books. The Kite Runner and A thousand Splendid Suns. Excellent books, fictional characters that come alive in modern day Afghanistan. their culture, the war and living as a woman or child in that country is brought to light.
This month I have read about 6 of Greg Iles books, he is an excellent writer. Look him up at

The MUMMY
by purplesofa intuesday night i saw an advanced screening of the mummy.
we got free tickets, my niece and i. it was first come first serve.
we got the early but were late, as there was only two seats left, only single seating.

Purps how lucky you were to get in and see the Preview with a great Seat!!!!! I didn't know they were doing another Mummy Movie, I loved the last two. I like Rachel Weitz so it will seem strange to not have her in it and for the Kid to be all grown up. I just looked it up and Maria Bello is the new wife of Brendan Frazer. She is more blondish but very attractive of course.

Lurker for a long time, finally decided to take the plunge!

I felt the same way Heybaby!! I hated field service, and return visits. I went from door to door since I was 3 until I was 18. Then again from 28 years old until 35 years old. I never had my heart in that religion and I always felt guilty about that. I didn't understand why everyone else supposedly was so gung ho to Preach the Good News of the Kingdom. It just never seemed real to me this Paradise or Armageddon so how could I make others believe it. I felt I had no right to tell them that I had the truth and they didn't. I was embarrassed to go from door to door. I was forced to go in Service while growing up, my parents were full time pioneers and they dragged me along when I was not in school. I spent all my summer vacations doing Service and Bible studies UGH

Freshly baked Baquettes with butter, I crave carbs when I am hungry. They bake them daily at the local grocery store and they are just like the ones in Paris and France.
I also love Ceaser Salad with my dinner, so I have a small piece of chicken and some broccoli and then have a Ceaser Salad on the weekend and it is loaded with calories the way I make it. For the dressing I put in 12 Tbsps if Olive oil, 4 Tbsps of red wine vinegar, 3 Tbsps of grated Parmasean cheese, 3 cloves of garlicand shake it all up. I pour it over a bowl of Romaine, croutons, bacon bits and Yummy. It serves 4. My husband eats the 3 share and i eat one share. If we have company I add more oil and romaine.
I have been off my diet for the past week, we had so much company. I am back on again today. Its a slow process losing weight when you cheat all the time, I have to stop doing it.

Anyone see Criss Angel walk on water last night on A&E?
by sweetstuff inok, i'm not a person who takes what i see on tv as "real" but that was pretty darn mind blowing.
the guy walked on the hoover dam lake, people were coming into the water, checking out the water underneath him to make sure he wasn't walking on something and it appeared he was not.
holy crap, i watched in complete disbelieve yet thinking, how could you pull that off as an illusion?

suicide and explosion at Kingdom Hall on Sat. July 27
by kool aid man06 ina bizarre explosion at a church east of kansas city killed one man on saturday afternoon.
atf agents said the explosion at the jehovah's witness' kingdom hall on foggy bottom drive was intentionally set, and that the person who died appears to have committed suicide.
witnesses described large amounts of smoke pouring out of the building, which they said was just recently completed.
