The true, unsung hero of the Bible....

my undisputed hero of the bible is known by several names, depending on who you talk to...devil, satan, lucifer, etc.. read it, and you'll find that he was the only one who really stood up for you.. he asserted that you could make decisions for yourself...and told you the very real truth that, just because the piece of meat in your chest stops thumping, you positively do not 'die'.. he was your hero.

he stood up to a daddy-maniac and said, 'just because you made us doesnt mean you have the right to tell us what to do.

i thought we were free?'.

Do you have any examples that show him as a friend to man, that combats the ones given to show that he is not?
Sure. He tried to free man from God's tyranny. He wanted that man got to know what God wanted to conceal from him.
Just like modern freedom fighters and dissidents - governments (e. g. the Chinese one) try to conceal information from their people, and dissidents try to reveal it.
Incidentally: Did Satan really lie?
God said: "As for the tree of the knowledge of good and bad you must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will positively die."
Was that true? No. They did not die "in the day" they ate.
Satan said: "You positively will not die. For God knows that in the very day of your eating from it your eyes are bound to be opened and you are bound to be like God, knowing good and bad."
Was that true? Yes. They did not die until some 900 years later, definitely not "in the day" they ate as claimed by God. Also, their eyes were opened, and they did become "knowing good and bad" (God himself later confirmed that "man has become like one of us in knowing good and bad").
So, God was the liar in Eden, not Satan.

Satan has been no friend to man
He didn't kill anyone except the 10 children of Job (while God killed millions).
He doesn't force us to do anything for him (while God forces us to work for him 24/7)
He propagades individual freedom (while God reigns like a dictator)
He doesn't threaten anyone who does not obey him (while God does that all the time)
He didn't send famines, diseases, earthquakes etc (while God did that)
etc.

It must be God's organization because ...

how many times have you heard a jw say something along the lines of "this must be god's organization because of [insert reason here]".

most of those reasons could equally apply to almost any organization on earth, including secular businesses.. the most recent one i heard was from an elder trying to convince someone why the watchtower is god's organization.

his reason was because "it [the watchtower] wouldn't have lasted this long without god's backing".

There can be no doubt that the Watchtower organization is protected by God. The book Draw Close to Jehovah explains: “The ruler of this world would like nothing more than to eliminate true worship … Some of the most powerful governments on earth have banned our preaching work and have tried to wipe us out completely. Yet, Jehovah’s people have remained firm and have continued to preach without letup! Why have mighty nations been unable to put a stop to the activity of this relatively small … group of Christians? Because Jehovah has shielded us with his powerful wings!” – page 73.
However, the same applies to the Sicilian Mafia and its offshoots. There can be no doubt that ‘the rulers of this world would like nothing more than to eliminate’ the Mafia. Not only “some of the most powerful governments on earth” but practically all governments have “banned” the Mafia and ‘have tried to wipe it out completely.’ Yet the Mafia ‘has remained firm’ and has continued its criminal activities without letup! Why have mighty nations been unable to put a stop to the activity of this rela-tively small group of criminals? Apparently for the same reason – because Jehovah has shielded them with his powerful wings.
