in the article on babel and the origin of languages, a stone tablet with Babylonian writing was labelled as dating from around year 3,000 BC?
Where is that? The article says "third millennium B.C.E." which can be anything between 3,000 and 2,001.

hello, what is the biblical proof of that a creative days is 7000 years.
i read in the photodrama that russell says that a creative days is 7000 years.
and in 1965 edition of "make sure of all things" page 134 that was changed from "7000 years" to "about 7000 years".. the bible not says the duration of a creative day.
Russell thought that Adam was created 4127 BCE, so 7000 years would end in 2874 CE. Since he should rule for 1000 years, this reign must have started in 1874.
Since nothing happened in 1874, he concluded that there would be period of 40 years (like 30 to 70 CE or like the 40 years Moses spent in the wilderness), and Armageddon would come 40 years after 1874 (= 1914).
Since nothing happened in 1914, they eventually "noticed" that Adam was not created in 4127 but in 4026, pointing to 1975 instead of 1914. So they changed 1914 from "beginning of 1000 year reign" to "beginning of invisible rein over his congregation".
SInce nothing happened in 1975, they eventually "noticed" that the 6th day did not end with Adam's creation but with Eve's creation. So they changed it from "1975" to "soon", which is valid until now.
Since there is overwhelming evidence that the earth is more than 49,000 years old, they silently dropped the idea that one creative day would have been 7,000 years.
i will give an easy example incase any bible like this exists then somebody can point me in the right way.
in a hebrew interlinear, as found at http://www.scripture4all.org/onlineinterlinear/hebrew_index.htm, .
look up or compare exodus 15:11, ex 18:5. i'll quote from the nwt, but almost all bibles make the same mistake/assumptions i'll show in a second.
I couldn't find an English translation that renders it that way, but the Einheitsübersetzung (the official translation used by the Catholic Church in Germany) renders Deuteronomy 32:8,9 like this:
"Als der Höchste (den Göttern) die Völker übergab, als er die Menschheit aufteilte, legte er die Gebiete der Völker nach der Zahl der Götter fest; der Herr nahm sich sein Volk als Anteil, Jakob wurde sein Erbland."
Which means translated:
"When the Most High passed the peoples (to the Gods), when he divided mankind, he defined the territorries of the peoples according to the number of their Gods; the Lord took his people as his part, Jacob became his hereditery land."
the bbc has been producing some interesting documentaries lately.
one series is about ancient greece and i learned something new (for me) that i thought a few here might like as much as i did.. according to one episode in the series, syposiums originated in ancient greece as events where people would get together, get drunk, make sacrifices to the pagan gods and then finally various people would stand up and talk and talk and talk, no doubt in a drunken ramble, about the deep topics of the day.. for this reason i cannot possibly attend another jw assembly or convention any more.
they always feature syposiums and now i know they are clearly rooted in paganism, well, it goes against my christian trained conscience..... .
Too bad they don't use the corresponding word in German :(
when you download this file you will need to wait for about 30 seconds for all the images to come into focus.
the images should come into view in the pdf right in front of you.
if you don't wait the file could become jammed and you would need to start all over again.
I wonder if they will phase out the name watchtower
Maybe they finally noticed that Watchtowers are of pagan origin and play a role in magic.

about ... virgins of Matthew 25
That they are literal virgins and need to go into the Governing Body members' rooms (who are the Bridegroom class)?

Maybe their organization is no longer "The Truth" but "The Lie".
Or due to the increasing number of apostates, these form the "great crowd" while the believers are the "little flock".
Or they finally noticed that God is triune.
