Especially since all the best content is user generated.
I love you tube, you end up seeing stuff you'd never think of looking up otherwise just by following links. Keeps me entertained and I don't have to deal with advertising.

06/01/2008 - every significant internet provider around the globe is currently in talks with access and content providers to transform the internet into a television-like medium: no more freedom, you pay for a small commercial package of sites you can visit and you'll have to pay for seperate subscriptions for every site that's not in the package.
what can we do?internet providers have realized that the only way to not lose massive amounts of customers over this is to make sure there are no alternatives, that's why all major internet providers are currently making agreements and planning to switch simultaneously somewhere in the year 2012. this is currently all going on under very strict nda's (non-disclosure agreements) because the last thing they want is the masses speaking out against it.

It would be impossible to offer packages which would satisfy everyone. So I don't think that would be feasible.
What they will try to do is to get the internet leaches to pay. The leaches use up too much bandwith without paying. They are having a hard time monetizing You Tube and the likes. They are setting up to charge by bandwith usage.

Cable giants study traffic
Tests are aimed at preventing Web congestion
By TODD SHIELDS
Bloomberg NewsComcast Corp. and Time Warner Cable, the two largest U.S. cable companies, said Tuesday they will start tests Thursday to prevent congestion on the high-speed Internet networks their customers use.
Comcast, with 14.1 million Internet subscribers, plans to begin tests that focus on the volume of data usage and disregard the application used by the customer. Time Warner Cable, with 8.1 million Web clients, will start metering customers in Beaumont, and levy higher fees on the heaviest users.
The two companies are wrestling with how to keep high-speed Internet services operating smoothly as demand soars for network-stressing features such as streaming video. Comcast has faced accusations it discriminated against customers using peer-to-peer file-sharing techniques that can be used to send videos.
Fees may "be one of the tools" for keeping a few heavy users from worsening the network's performance for all, said Kevin Leddy, Time Warner Cable's executive vice president of advanced technology.
Federal regulators are investigating whether Comcast improperly blocked some Internet users. The company says it delayed data to heavy users at times of peak network demand. In March, Comcast pledged to develop ways to manage Internet traffic without focusing on the application used, and to put them into place by the end of the year.
Comcast said its test will run 30 days in Chambersburg, Pa., and Warrenton, Va.
if you'll recall last week i made this prophesy.
that the red wings would take it in " 5 ".

That's why I don't make prophecies anymore..lol..they never come true. Especially when you gloat before the fact..haha.
You almost got it right though, and I was going to return to my thread to congratulate you...cause I remembered someone had made the wings in 5 prediction.
Good luck tomorrow
Where else could I go?
Thanks Simon.

Why study 4 years when you can actually do it in one year at your own pace of 1/2 hour reading every 2 weeks (now only once a month). An extra year of reading probably gives you a PhD.. Yup, the most thinking people on the planet actually believe this. What a pathetic statement.
here's one guy who's head is headed for the butcher block..lol

any thoughts on planet x ?.
I check every now and then on utube for new videos, haven't seen any lately. Everybody was pretty worked up last week when NASA was making an announcement, they were hoping NASA would announce they had found planet x or nibiru. At this point it really is only speculation.
this will be a great series.
