Tattoos/Piercings?
by Think About It ini feel like woody allen in the 1973 movie "the sleeper".
i leave in 1995, wake up 15 yrs later to see what has been going on in the jw religion and find out it is completely different from what i left.
i started a thread about beards, because i wanted to know how the modern day beard and goatee fad went over in the kh's.. now i'm curious about the tattoo, piercings and short or shaved hair look.

You ever drive to the meeting, or field service meeting point, and do a U-Turn and go back home?

I did when meeting for service many times. Sometimes I just couldn't do it. But I usually went on to the meetings since for many years I played the piano so could'nt just not show up.

by Blue Grass inam i the only one who think's a lot of the amazing stories terry come up with are fabricated or completely untrue?
every week he tells us how he by chance ran into a jw, mormon, evangilcial, etc.
and comes up with witty answers every time to counter every point they make and than have them running in fear.

What the heck is wrong with my freind?
by Strider Arekksu inwell, i already posted about the jws clearly having thier doctrine just crap.
but i told my friend and it seems like it's just not getting through.
like he will say he'll look into it, but he really won't or i'll give him a 12 page paper that is 3/4th scripture countering nay destroying a jw doctrine out of the reasoning book and he won't do anything... just blank out.

I'd personally lay off awhile. If you keep talking about it, it might just make him upset with you. Show him how happy you can be without the org. Don't push so hard.

Remember the OKC bombing April 19th.
by awildflower ini wasn't living in okc at the time but my in laws are so we would come visit often.
i remember that year we had been here two weeks before it had happened.
my father-in-law was scheduled for a 9am appointment in that building on that very morning and at the last minute the day before was rescheduled for a different place to be but down town in the same area.

One time at the book study that was held at a home a sister farted on the metal chair. Of course that made it louder and I could not control myself. I had to leave the room with tears running down my face from laughing. I think she stayed mad at me for a while after that.

That was the most awful thing that I have seen happen in this state ever. I cried for days as I watched the coverage on the news. It's hard to believe it has been 15 years!
