Men are Adorable!
by Robdar inthis afternoon i had the pleasure of listening to my dad, husband and son discuss timing belts, the teeth they rest on, camshafts, and other car parts that i cant recall at such a late hour.
they were totally engrossed in the conversation and it was fun listening to them talk.
the air was thick with testosterone and they were so manly that i just had to smile about it.

I have to say I had the more precious daddy in the whole world. There's never been another man like him. He got hurt in an electrical accident when he was only 32 and lost his left arm. But he over the years learned to do anything he needed to do. Took excellant care of his family and would do anything he could to help someone else. I miss him so much. And my son is so much like him. I hope he knows how proud I am of how he takes care of his family now. I know if my dad was still alive, he woud be very proud.

Most entertaining platform misdeed.
by Slidin Fast inmany years ago before assembly halls we used to hire large halls for circuit assemblies.
the public talk, always after lunch on the sunday was always the big (though boring) event.
the chairman sat on the stage all the time whilst the speaker for the hour long talk droned on.

After Exiting the Witnesses - Are you O.K. Not Knowing about the Future ?
by flipper init seems that religion has always been considered the opium of the people.
or at least many tend to gravitate towards religion to have or solidify some sort of future with a supreme being overlooking them hoping to have a reward either in heaven or in the jehovah's witnesses case - living forever in a " paradise earth ".
it seems that people can't just live day to day and let each day come to them with whatever happens.

I'm great with it. In fact I feel a deeper sense of peace and tranquility in my life now. Not sure exactly why unless it has to do with the fact that I now know God does'nt hate everyone except JW'S. I also want to please God even more because I 'm not being told every move to make. And I feel we make our own future by how we act and treat others. And there's really a sense of adventure in the unknown. SO I'm happier now than I have been in my whole life.

How was your Mother's Day?
by journey-on inmine was terrific.
loving visits, cards, dinner, and togetherness.
i know if i had remained a witness, at least one of my children would have left the borg, and we would probably not have the beautiful relationship we now have.

Well, I've felt like crying all day and this did it. I just hope his family appreciates what a good person he was and will treasure these words always.
