  i have been around in this forum a lot but haven't written much yet.. also i had a more or less rude awakening when i realized that the religion i grew up with, the religion i sacrificed a lot for and considered to be the 'truth' is nothing but mere bs.

  it's quite a brick to digest.. my parents both are jws, elder and pioneer.

  very good people but also very brainwashed.

  today i celebrated being 32 (i think) at university, it felt awesome to be public and not care anymore.

  facebook was full of lovely messages and i had great cards.

  wish i had been braver years ago.

  the first time i felt like i was in north korea trying to slip pass the secret police.

  how weird a wonderful family holiday and i was acting like i just stole the mona lisa..

  My brother died tonight

  just got word that my youngest brother died of pancreatic cancer.

  he was diagnosed in early august.

  this has been really tough for me and my family..

  it's that same itch felt before i purchase something major.

  i'm just wondering what i might be getting into based upon others experiences in this regard.

  Oy, I'm going to get flamed here... :O

  Went veggie for about four months. Absolutely hated it. Gained weight, never felt full...

  That's about all I can say about it. I craved a burger and never went back. The vegans I know look pale, weak, and sickly.

  Nah, I'd never be a vegger again.
