  Shhhh, don't tell anyone. I know a country that has weapons of mass destruction. They've committed genocide and used biological weapons on women and children. They've helped put dangerous dictators in power. They've trained terrorists and have still supported their ally's even after they have committed war crimes. They've funded rebel groups with the knowledge that they were "clearing" villages to the last man, woman, and child. They incite their citizens with propoganda about moral high grounds while trying to hide self interest.

  But guess what? I don't think we're going to bomb ourselves.

  PettyGrudger pretty much summed it all up. Gary Lockes response was very good but he can't balance a budget to save his life so I wouldn't think too highly of him. Bush's speech was well put together but didn't really say anything.

  ok folks here is my plan to reduce the amount of gun violence in the u.s. im sorry but i cannot help out the european countries becuase a) i dont live in europe and b) only naughty people have guns in europe.. ok. i have come to the conclusion that drugs in the u.s. need to be not only de-criminalized but legalized so that they can be taxed.

  by legalizing drugs the profit gained by selling them will plummet and it will not be cost effective for gang members and cartels to import/deal drugs in the u.s. and the violence surrounding drugs will vanish as there will be no motive (ie $$$$$) to commit such violence.. ok. now the problems.

  1) no one likes to admit they are wrong (especially the govt.).

  I think we should just use Sen. Chris Rock's plan. Charge $3,000 per bullet this way if someone gets shot you'll know they had to have done something to deserve it.

  edited to add: By the way I agree with legalization as does almost all of law enforcement in the U.S. Except for the ATF who makes their budgets through the drug war. Listen to those guys and you can just see the propoganda brainwashing goin on.

  i'm sick of talking about george bush and iraq and war so.... what were you like in high school?.

  i was an orchestra geek.

  i played violin and took all the math classes i could.

  9-10th grade I got bad grades, into fights, and was all around miserable. By the end of 10th grade I started to figure out that the only way I was happy was with academics. 11-12th I got good grades and was an editor for the yearbook staff. I had girls hitting on me but couldn't do anything about it because I was baptized. I even had one freshman girl following me around. She even went so far as to start kissing me in the hallway and put my hand up her shirt (I didn't exactly resist). But being the good dub I told her I couldn't see her anymore. I passed up on all kinds of great oppurtunities like that. Man I hate the JW's.

  I swear Air Force Generals are the biggest arrogant morons in the military. What jack ass thinks you can really win a war without ground troops. We may get them to surrender but we still have to go in there. Also, who irresponsible of the media to even broadcast this type of information. I may be against a war with Iraq but even I know it will happen. This kind of crap puts our guys in danger.

  Listening to right wingnuts tell me how un-american I am because I don't agree with them. Having the freedom to worship whatever god/goddess I choose only to be told in public that I'm going to Hell. Being called a left winger because I think our government cares very little about the rights of women, minorities, and the lower class. Being able to vote for president only to have it be made worthless by the opposing candidates friends in the supreme court. And last but not least, being able to at least try to bring about an actual positive change despite those who want to keep the status quo.

  I always find it interesting that Americans ass ume that someone must be stupid because they can't write or speak English very well. How many middle class Americans know a second language? Not that many even though it is changing every year. A president must be born in this country to get their position in the first place. You would at least hope for a moderate education but even that seems to be beyond Bush's grasp.

  As to Bush, I think he is a danger to the country and its future. He is already starting his christian taliban crusade with his choices of people that he has put in key positions. This country wasn't founded on christianity be he damn sure is trying to sway it in that direction. Bush = Bad
