I have started an exercise regime, I now walk to the 'fridge to get my beer, instead of sending the wife to fetch it.

If Pope indicted in International Court, Why Not the GB?
by ABibleStudent inthe center for constitutional rights, a new york-based nonprofit legal group, requested that the pope be indicted by the international court for church practises protecting catholic priests, who abuse children: http://news.yahoo.com/abuse-victims-seek-intl-court-case-against-pope-100135627.html .
if the pope is indicted by the international court and found guilty, could the gb be indicted for protecting elders, who abuse children, or for not advising child abuse victums to go to civil authorities?
if the gb is found guilty of not following victoria's child protection laws and an elder in victoria raped/abused a child after 2002, could the gb be indicted in the international court, because gb members would refuse to surrender to australian authorities?.

On the newspaper's site I said what the venerable Mr Flipper said, the Elders concerned should be charged with aiding and abetting and /or being accessories to the crimes.
Just one such prosecution would spur the smug bastards in to fulfilling their moral duty.
D of C asks if the WT were worse than other religions in this matter, that is not worthy of debate, the point is that the religion that claims to be God's Org. should demonstrate love and concern for the vulnerable within its care.
The only love and concern the JW/WT Org. demonstrates is for $$$£££.

For the board atheists....
by Jack C. inthis is a personal observation and certainly not representative of all atheists.
i enjoy discussions with folks of this persuasion; in general they appear well read and somewhat more educated than many believers.
as a group most atheists cringe and become insensed when discussing the existence of a deity with believers especially fundamentalists.

In this debate on this thread the world has been presented as made up of two camps, believers and unbelievers.
There is another group, Practitoners we could call them, for whom belief or un-belief are not important, they live by the Golden Rule, desire to help their fellow man as much as possible, and hopefully, leave the world a better place than when they entered it.
To such people there is not the time or need for debate on metaphysical matters, the physical, real world demands too much attention.

Shredding the Organised to Accomplish Our Ministry book
by scotsman injust read through the 2011 letters to usa boe and the 8 february one on disposing of old wt books/magazine struck me as apparently the co needs to authorise their disposal.
what really intrigued me was that the om book was required to have it's cover removed and the pages "shredded".. was everyone in the congegation asked to shred their personal copies too?.

"Controlling the past" is obviously what the WT hopes to achieve, but they cannot, the Internet will see to that.

Poll: What do you believe now?
by Lunatic Faith ini have been noticing we ex-jw's are very different in our choices of beliefs once we leave the wts.
some choose christianity, others flee christianity.
some find they can't beieve in anything any more.

Same as that famous young lady detective above, I want evidence, evidence that can be tested in a scientific and forensic way in that which YOU say is truth.
I don't then have to believe, just acknowledge the facts.
No evidence ? Not interested !

I have signed up and left my comment under the name of "Infoman" on the newspaper's site.
Perhaps others would like to add theirs ?
