Do you sense that the Watchtower will implode?

since leaving the organization 8 years ago, there have been more significant changes in the actual, physical activities of the organization than occurred in all the 40 plus years i was 'in'.

Since I left nearly 4 years ago, it has been my fervent hope that it would implode.

Not that I wish any bad things to occur for the R&F JW, but the evil that the WT org. wreaks cannot come to an end soon enough. I especially would love to just ask for the word "sorry" from the members of my family who are so smug and self-satisfied in their deluded belief at present,which includes believing that I am in some way mentally "diseased".

I do feel that pressure is building for the ones who control and direct the WT. The old, arrogant, tell the R&F any BS and they will swallow it, direct them to jump in the air and they will ask "How high ?" is not so effective anymore. Sadly a large percentage of the 7 million are still of the old submissive school, but there is a growing number who do not obey like an automaton anymore.

The Masters of War who run the WT, and the GB, are feeling that they are fast losing their grip, and they are, it wants just a small impetus to bring about the WT's very own "Arab Spring".

Thanks for posting this CoCo, it is a salutary reminder to us all that we need to keep our exposing of what the WT/JW religion is to strictly factual matters that we can verify,if necessary, in Court.

We could easily get carried away, as some have in the past, by the excitement of the press and media exposure XJW's are getting at present, thanks to Cedars an Co and the Independant article, and we could start making unverifiable accusations, or ones which are easy for the WT to latch on to, and divert attention from the real issue.

The JW's are masters of this. Call them a cult, and you will be diverted in to discussing the definition of the word, not all the cult like features they display.

Say they are wrong to call us "mentally diseased" and the spokesman will discuss DFing, not the words in question. (see the Indy article)

Say something factually wrong and in Court they will prove it to be so, thus not discussing what they are, just what they are not.

We must not give them an easy get out.

if i could offer my perspective.

issues around free speech are some of the most difficult.

balancing the right of someone being able to say what they want against the "harm" that might cause.

Many people are lazy, they like their opinions formed for them by someone else, and decisions made for them by someone else.

People lke that are ripe for picking by cults and extreme groups, they will always be around, the gullible, the willfully ignorant, and those who cannot get by without a sky-daddy, hence the WT will not disappear any time soon, despite the big hole in their bucket, they are awash with the feebleminded trying to dive in.

"Mentally diseased" article to be published in The Independent tomorrow

hi everyone.

as a parting gift to you all before i take a much needed break from this forum, i thought you would be pleased to know that the independent, a leading uk newspaper, will be publishing a piece on the "mentally diseased" watchtower article in tomorrow's edition.. i would like to thank everybody who has assisted the journalist, jerome taylor, in his investigation.. best wishes to all of you,.

I just fired off an E-mail to the letters page([email protected]) pointing out that Rick Fenton is lying through his teeth for the WT, I didn't put it quite like that, I want to get the letter published if poss, but I quoted paragraph and page from the latest "Flock" book showing that a JC would be formed for anyone who made the "personal decision" to associate with a DF'd one.

His contention that Dubs can ask questions freely I exposed as false too.

I said the WT are masters of the half-truth.

Well Done Cedars ! and Well Done Amelia, Angus et al, this is the most effective expose of what JW's really are that I have ever seen !

Perhaps our friends across the Pond in U.S of A can follow your example and get some good national coverage, and other countries too.

Dear Cedars, please do not be a stranger at our door here, I know you have had some flack, but ignore it, many here have been damaged by the cult, and that damage still affects our judgement.

Please be assured of our support for your future ideas, you have proved you are a powerful force for good, many members of the public will now see the WT/JW's for what they are, many from within will wake up and leave.

Born in, in for 58 years, until 2008. I walked away from the JW nonsense and discovered all other religions are nonsense too.

Now I do not " believe" in anything, if by belief it is meant putting your trust in something as true, without solid testable proof.

I put my trust in certain things because they have the satisfactory ( to me) proof; anything else is on a par with beleiving in fairys, and I don't, delightful though they look in pictures.

I do not label myself "Atheist"because people expect certain attitudes from you if you do, but I call myself a Compassionate Humanist.

Which one would you recommend?

at the moment, i am contemplating on buying either of these books by stephen hassan.

* combatting cult mind control.

* releasing the bonds.. which one of them would you recommend i order first and why.

Depends what you are aiming at, if it is mainly for you, then the second one is good, "the bonds" tend to be connected to us still when we don't think they are.

The first one is good for the person just exiting the JW/WT who perhaps does not feel they were in a cult, when Hassan wrote this he didn't have knowledge of the silly little religion, and does not mention them, except in akind of aside in a footnote.

As the JW reads he/she will see that he certainly has just walked away from a cult, one as high-control and mind-controlling as the Moonies.
