the tribulation was not specifically covered in my "bible studies".
but the main "teacher" several times said how she prayed for strength that she would remain true to jehovah when she was tested "in the persecutions".. so, i understand that there has to be some sort of tribulation and persecution of the faithful before armageddon.
why i'm confused is that every stock market dip, new virus or extreme weather event is hailed as the beginning.
Just be clear in your own mind that all of JW's teaching on this and other matters is totally without foundation. It is a fiction.
They perceive a " time of trouble" that will precede the Big A, and individual JW's dramatise this in their own addled minds,therefore every crisis is seen as the prelude to this time.
There is no foretold "Tribulation" to come, and Armageddon is a total myth.
Live in the real world, live your life to the full, get as far away from JW Fantasy/La La land as you can.

these comments are the reason why my family are leaving the uk, the comments are not mine but give a insight to what a dump the uk has become... i'm a 22 year old male and left the uk at 21 to live in australia and again like many people have said on here.
it is one of the best things i could have done.
the pay in the uk is disgusting.. the average pay here for a very average job is $20 an hour that is 12 an hour, thats just for stacking shelves at supermarkets.

because i know i have more experience then most on debating the veracity of the trinity..... there are two camps, people of faith, and people of math.. people of faith will always be more convinced of the trinity every day, because for the most part, the teachers of the trinity are very up front about the fact that it is a mystery.. so the more you point out how illogical it is, the more a mystery the trinity becomes, and thus, it also becomes more real.

One of the clearest expositions of the trinity that I found was written many years ago by a CHristadelphian Theologian, which is strange as they don't go along with it. If I can locate it, I will post it.
A simplistic dismissal of the doctrine just because it developed later in the Church's history is particularly ironic coming from the WT. All their unique doctrines are post 19th Century !

There was an annoying fashion among the young some years ago to end every sentence with "right ?" or something similar like "Yea?" and you were supposed to affirm that you understood their Neanderthal gruntings with a nod or a grunt in return, if you didn't they would persist with the "Right?" or "Yea?" question before going on to their next earth shattering point.
We had an Elder who agreed with your answer with "very much so".

to arrive at its date of 607 bce for jerusalems destruction, the wts uses what it calls bible chronology.. this bible chronology says that since the seventy year period ended in 537 bce, when 70 years are counted back this provides the 607 bce date for jerusalems destruction.. the wts says its bible chronology method is superior to the secular uninspired chronology provided by secular sources.. does the wtss bible chronology align with the bibles teachings on the seventy years?
is its method the valid way to determine when jerusalem was destroyed?.

Thanks Doug, you post exactly what I was trying to get him to see, that nobody who has studied the Bible with an open mind and considered the evidence and facts in a rational way, concludes as Larry does, that by some twisted fluke the 70 years fit what he says.
I cannot fault your research, and Larry offers nothing concrete despite his protestations above.
