So had to go to wallyworld tonight for a few things and the place was full of easter decor...including food. Chocolate bunnies, Cadbury eggs, Peeps and the love of my life, sugar cookie dough. You know, the pre cut out little cookies with the little bunny face on them? i love sugar cookies and for the first time in my life I didn't feel an ounce of guilt over buying a product marketed for a holiday. I'm sure my hips will feel that ounce (or 200) of guilt though. Anyone else still squeamish about things like this? And yes, I am munching on them now..cookies for everyone!! MEL

why did the "demons" only go after those "strongin the truth"
by looloo ini heard that when a "strong " jw supposedly had demon problems (it was probably just the wind in reality) but i also heard that demons affected the ones that were "weak" and were not regular at meetings etc perhaps because they had second hand furniture lol

oh, the demon stories used to freak me out so bad when I was a kid, I couldn't sleep. We went on a call to this house that was out in the woods, lots of junk lying around, very unkempt people. My dad ended up buying a second hand rocking chair from them for my new brother. A few weeks later he was out in the garage chopping the thing apart with an ax because he had heard from some brothers that these people had been talking with demons. I was only 6 years old and didn't know any better and it scared the shit out of me. I didn't go in the garage for years after that without someone with me! MEL

Yes a lot of therapists are into all the quakery but you can't deny the benefits when you get down to basics and receive a really good massage from someone who knows what they are doing!!! It's also a fairly under regulated profession depending on which state you live in so it can be hard to find someone who is good at what they do.

If the tendinitis is caused by a repetitive strain injury, go find a good massage therapist who specializes in Trigger Point Therapy (knots), it may be stemming from trigger points in your triceps. Good Luck. MEL

My mother told me today that the end is so close
by TooBad TooSad inshe has been a faithful jw for over 50 years.
she was taught that the end was coming in the late 50's.. today she said that the terrible conditions in the world today prove that the end is near.
i told her that i. think that conditions in the world were a lot worse during ww1 and ww2 and it looks like things.

In yet another short battle with my father this morning, I asked him how he was going to be able to live after armegeddon with all the dead bodies laying around. He basically said that it would smell really bad for a few months and thankfully he lives in a rural area and not a city where the bodies would be piled so high. He has 3 new bible studies and is extremely self righteous these days so there is no talking to him about anything....so I politley asked him if he and my mom would consider finding the bodies of myself and my two year old son and to please bury us so the carrion crows don't eat our sinful bodies! mel
