Comparing WT Library - 2011 vs. 2012

a couple of years ago, i participated in a thread on this site comparing the old nwt (1984) to the new nwt (2013).

i was able to produce a nwt mash up pdf showing the side-by-side differences between the two versions of the nwt.

herethis site claims it will hold the file for download for a long time.

Great Work :) thank you ... I'm interested by the code ... some years ago I've tried to decrypt file ( pub file from WT )to do same work in french.

Another Idea will be comparing between different language ... WT lib and Jw.org ...

and another one will be to compare through time the content of jw.org ... for example I remember a publication with rama singh false citation ... this publication disapear from jw.org ... and on the CD produce after this .. """"correction"""" jw can say "WT never says that your are liars" ... ( in fact I have save the two pdf )

I believe it's not really encrypted but in fact it's a file specific file format some mix of indexed file and compression

The increasing WT magazine

apart from the interesting block color change for the title strip on the front page.... the new 2017 wt mag has some new (updated printing figures):.

2016: produced each issue: 58,987,000 available in 282 languages .

2017: produced each issue: 61,651,000 available in 294 languages.

As for other thing ... are we sure that the figure printed in the wt magazine are correct ?

At the other hand, when WT produced 2 WT and 2 Awake by month each with 32 pages at more than 40 millions of printed magazines ...

now with 6 WT and 6 awake , each with 16 pages ... even with 60 millions ... it's an amazing decrease ...

But WTBTS , talk about "increase" only because figure are false !

Often I heard in KH , that jw.org replace publication ... but in fact when you look at Alexa Web Ranking ... we see other thing ... no increase at jw.org ... stagnation ( is it an english word ? stagnation ? sorry for my poor english :) )

All that , to say ... are WTBTS figure real ? I doubt !

in the letter of 21st may 2016 the gb explain that examining the scripture and yearbook will be available at beginning in october ... .

then we are the 26 octobre 2016 ... i saw examining the scripture ... but not yet yearbook .... is the gb modifying the figure of annual report ?

or the partakers ?

Science my son and I.

a recent o.p origins of the universe bought home to me with ovbious clarity that i have no scientific background.

this realization was rather embarrassing for myself to admit, particularly as my child of 11 has began asking some rather intersting questions on scientific matters.

anyway i have subscribed to " scientific america" because i find it a great magazine for those with no scientific background.

Sorry I'm french :( :) If it was , then I can say Scientific American is a reference. And for french only speaker we have "Pour la Science" who is the translation if this journal.

I love two version :) French and American. Great quality :)

It's a good begining to explore today Science. But sometimes you will need to have background then I think a good advice will be seeing Show like "Cosmos" Carl Sagan or the new of Neil Tyson de Grace.

You have too some books like feynman , Sagan ... for physics , Monod , Jacob for Biology ...

National Geographic Channel on TV is good too :)

(he's on the bottom row, second from the right.).

but he also is a jazz singer, traveling constantly performing at concerts, casinos, charity events, even a brief appearance on the tonight show.

Will they change the Yearbook format?

pure speculation here but i'm wondering if - with the numbers flat-lining - that the gb will stop giving country by country stats, or perhaps at least some of the statistics.. we used to get a monthly stat in the km - then that was "simplified" to "highlights".

only the "good" stuff.

then with the new clam workbook, no stats at all.. i wonder if the yearbook will soon only contain "positive" spun stats.

They could ... but why ? Remember all their lies ... they affirm to have 8 millions of follower ... but have we reason to believe in these figure ?

In fact, we believe that stats are real figure but any proof ?

Then in the future, why not continue to gives stats. Nothing !

Elder Arrest Scaremongering

last week there was a meeting with all the elders and ministerial servants about responsibility in the kingdom hall and blah blah blah.. one elder brought up a scenario where all the elders were arrested, and we were asked if the meeting would still go on, and how.. this is the second time within a month that i've heard that scenario posed by an elder in my congregation.. does anyone have any idea of the trash being fed to them in letters recently?.

is this a scenario that hq is putting out there, or are the fear mongering convention videos driving their imaginations wild?.

Personnaly I think here we have many things.

- first as wrote smiddy the videos of this regional convention.

- second ( and that was in relation with ) all the trials that could becomes a reality after Candace Conti , Jose lopez, ARC and UK about pedophilia problems.

The GB has probably think that the attack is better than defense ... and they prepare congregation for these "armagedon" ( about responsibility in pedophilia affairs )

-Third internet provides huge amount of information and probably ( too ) lesser recruitment of adept ... then the GB try to have form a group of JW that were ready to follow him even in the Hell :(

officially as someone copy here it's a comitee then the GB.

But I remember that I was surprised by opposite Ideas in publications. I think now that in fact first the publication are wrote by anonymous jw and after a member of the GB validate or not.

Another possibility is anonymous writers are pro Morris or pro Lett then when a publication must be validate these anonymous ask to his master to validate it.

It's the only way I could explain what I was feeling when I read some of this shit.
