The Russian letters

so all the jw's i know are practically wetting their pants in excitement over the russian letters they are sending out.

they seem to have this insane idea that putin's office will be pulled sky high with all these letters and they have this image in their imaginations of him having to open and read every letter (!).

also all the jw's i know have all put their name and address on the letter... which couldn't have any repercussions of course (!

As the letters are wrote to members of Russian Government ... this kind of action can be see as an political lobbying but ... JW must be "neutral" regarding the political action !

Another thing , is as they must respect "all government as they are in place by the will of God" how can they

could try to force a governement to influe a judicial decision ???

JW ( formely the GB ) see they did not believe to the power separation : judicial and political.

And maybe the last thing ... GB believe really that write to Putine could change the final decision ???

I believe rather than Poutine will become more anger against JW ... then the final result could be worse for Russian witnesses ...

At last, it seem that GB play a dangerous game only to be like "martyr" and to says "we are prosecuted" ...

the only thing that the GB could make to forgive the pedophiles trials and commision ...

Then JW looks in direction of Russian ban ... and not in australia for example :(

Observations from an Ex-Elder Part 2 - Cart Work

up until i left recently i was participating in the cart work.

in the location where we used to set up near our local mall we never had one person stop and take literature or stop and chat - other than fellow brothers.

i thought maybe it was just a bad location or something.

My Though is ... cart witnessing was another manner to decrease the print materials ... after the decrease from

2 watchtower and 2 awake by month ... WTBS did only 1 of each by month ... then to avoid that jw think

"hum it's strange we did not have nothing to give during preaching" the GB print 16 pages awake and Watchtower , and only 8 millions of study version of 32 pages ...

Now to decrease again without tells it to jw ... GB say ... "Cart Witnessing" ... and jw are preaching .. but less publications are printed :)

And Jw are always busy ... and don't think about it :(

by dorian hargrove, june 24, 2016. a san diego superior court judge has ordered the church of jehovah's witnesses, also known as the watchtower bible and tract society of pennsylvania, to pay $4000 a day for every day that it fails to produce documents requested in a civil lawsuit brought by former parishioner, osbaldo padron, who claims a church elder sexually abused him when he was seven years old.. in a june 23 ruling, expected to be made final today, judge richard strauss admonished the church for willfully ignoring a court order to produce all documents associated with a 1997 body of elders letter that church leaders sent to parishes around the world in a quest to learn about sexual abuse of children by church leaders.. over the course of the past year, the watchtower society and its lawyers have fought hard to keep the letter confidential, claiming that turning over the documents would infringe on the privacy of those mentioned in the letter that were not associated with the case.. in march 2015, the church turned over a heavily redacted version of the letter.

If I understand correctly

- The victim might be asked to sign a statement according he/she is aware of the possibility to report to the authorities.

The victim now will be informed that he/she could report the crime to the authority but how a young victims can understand that. If in the same time, Elders say "you must forgive" and when young victim is alone before elder. It seems to me that the WT and GB want to protect them from new prosecution. They could they "victim signs she/he is aware of his possibility to reporting to the authority" but at the same time they acts to force victims to not report by forgive pressure.

The look like bulgaria and blood policies .. jw are not "disfellowed" by Organisation, but if they accept blood they disfellow themself from Organisation.

please don't hate on me.. im a 30 something blind woman, who has been aware of the witnesses a while.

after my dad died five years ago - i questioned my own faith - christian (anglican).

tried everything - the occult, new churches etc.. 3 years ago i was suggested to have a study by a good friend who is jw.

Are you baptized ? if no ... that would be simple ... You can continue to see your """friends""" from congregation. without continue to assists all assembly or reunion or publishing ( I stop to publish ... now since 6 month )

But, one question ... Are they really friends if they make a condition as "stay with jw" to continue friendship ?

It seems to me they are not really friends, but only interested people ! Only that was very strange and curious manner.

I am sure outside jw you can find real friends ... but it is only your own fear that stops you to approach other people ... read your first sentence "I'm a 30 something blind woman" ...

I read somebody , who excuses to be a little different ... you are EXACTLY as the other with your particularity you are blind ... you are just different like someone can be redhead , or , black .. today disable people are "PEOPLE" before be "disable"

I explain, since 2 or 3 months I heard in KH that "the end is near" , and that "Real Believers" ( JW ) will be more and more prosecuted by satan...

If this "GB are not perfect" will prepare JW to listen that the Organisation have problems and many millions of dollars of donation dissapear in Trials ...

Just another mean for GB to avoid assuming their reponsabilities ?

Comparing WT Library - 2011 vs. 2012

i was able to produce a nwt mash up pdf showing the side-by-side differences between the two versions of the nwt.

herethis site claims it will hold the file for download for a long time.

Great Work :) thank you ... I'm interested by the code ... some years ago I've tried to decrypt file ( pub file from WT )to do same work in french.

Another Idea will be comparing between different language ... WT lib and Jw.org ...

and another one will be to compare through time the content of jw.org ... for example I remember a publication with rama singh false citation ... this publication disapear from jw.org ... and on the CD produce after this .. """"correction"""" jw can say "WT never says that your are liars" ... ( in fact I have save the two pdf )

I believe it's not really encrypted but in fact it's a file specific file format some mix of indexed file and compression

apart from the interesting block color change for the title strip on the front page.... the new 2017 wt mag has some new (updated printing figures):.

2016: produced each issue: 58,987,000 available in 282 languages .

2017: produced each issue: 61,651,000 available in 294 languages.

As for other thing ... are we sure that the figure printed in the wt magazine are correct ?

At the other hand, when WT produced 2 WT and 2 Awake by month each with 32 pages at more than 40 millions of printed magazines ...

now with 6 WT and 6 awake , each with 16 pages ... even with 60 millions ... it's an amazing decrease ...

But WTBTS , talk about "increase" only because figure are false !

Often I heard in KH , that jw.org replace publication ... but in fact when you look at Alexa Web Ranking ... we see other thing ... no increase at jw.org ... stagnation ( is it an english word ? stagnation ? sorry for my poor english :) )

All that , to say ... are WTBTS figure real ? I doubt !
