  Any signs that Kingdom Halls will re-open soon or door to door work will re-start again?

  i've not heard anything from pimi wife about going back to the khs yet let alone the door to door work.. many churches round here have re-opened if only for private pray and i am guessing that things like singing may be a factor in the reluctance of the witnesses to get back together again.

  i also detect that many older ones are still quite afraid to go anywhere they may come in contact with people, even for shopping.

  on the other hand, here in uk you can now go to a football match with 70,000 others shouting and chanting.. the door to door work may a total different issue.

  here in France nothing opened too .. and I heard that assembly will be produce on line until 2022

  But they continue to ask for money during these virtual assembly :(

  i’m reservations, pimo elder.

  i’m in no position to leave the organisation, maybe some people will see that as weak or whatever, but we have to all go down our own path in life.. i would like to be able to wake people up in my congregation, how do you think best to do this?

  any ideas?.

  Is it possible ?

  I'm PIMO too ( not elder ) ... since 3 or 4 years I did not preaching any more.

  When my children have a "bible study" ... I talk with them and explain why JW / WT are cult ,

  I say they could believe in God ... but the bible is not what the WT tell us.

  I think my wife ( who is jw pimi ) doesn't know that I talk to my children after each "Bible Study" ...

  I think my children will never become JW ... for me a little victory ...

  But, my wife .. it's not possible !

  She knows there are problems in the WT : pedophiles, money, manipulation .. but she always says "Jehovah will clean congregation at time" ...

  Despite the fact she was a victim too !!! and despites the facts that the pedophile said to elder some years ago

  she ask to elders if there where something in the congregation files ... Elder said "we have nothing" ...

  All that explanation to tell you , if JW doesn't want to listen to you , you can't change them .. I think the best you can do , is to observe , and maybe if you know some jw who was questioning about jw / WT problem to show where to find more information.

  You cannot tell all what you think ...

  If You do , you will be shunned ... look Rolf Furuli or Raymond Franz ...

  inside you can help some PIMI , outside you help PIMO ... the important it's finally you ... if you are better inside ( as me for personnal reason ) stay inside ... if you can quit ... I think the best is "quit" :)

  But not sure you can really help JW if they won't without be shunned yourself one day or another :(

  I think simplified version of "stupid" or "soothing" ( ? is it the right word ? ) version

  is a risk ... if WT over simplify her language , the risk is the message will become totally "no sense"

  The language of WT or Awake is allready simple , how to make it simplier without explain that you manipulate the word ... at the end , even stupids see you manipulate them

  for a while now i have felt 1914 was wrong.

  2520 was given in prophetic year of 360 days

  A Day for a Year
  How do we know that the “seven times” are 2,520 years? The calculations are made in a way similar to those made by the Watch Tower Society’s first president, C. T. Russell, in 1877 and recorded in the book he coauthored entitled The Three Worlds. This is how it is done: In Revelation chapter 12, verses 6 and 14, we learn that 1,260 days are equal to “a time [that is, 1 time] and times [that is, 2 times] and half a time,” or a total of 3 1⁄2 times. So “a time” would be equal to 360 days. “Seven times” would be 360 multiplied by 7, or 2,520 days. Now if we count a day for a year, according to a Bible rule, the “seven times” equal 2,520 years. (Numbers 14:34; Ezekiel 4:6) Therefore, the duration of the “seven times,” the Gentile Times, is from 607 B.C.E. to 1914 C.E.

  You rise an error if you add nautic miles and miles ... the same here

  when JW calculates 1914 in solar year they make an error of units

  they don't convert prophetic year or solar year ...

  -607 solar year + 2520 prophetic year != 1914 solar year

  as

  2 nautic mile + 2 miles != 4 miles

  recently, some scientists modeled one of the simplest known cells - that of a bacteria.

  it took an army of 128 computers running for 10 hours to process the data required in the 25 categories of molecules that are involved in this "simple cells'" life processes.

  think about that for a moment - 128 computers running for 10 hours just to compute the data, not actually do it mind you; but just to model the known processes in one of the simplest known cells, which is many orders of magnitude simpler than a human cell.

  Such a calculation is misleading.

  I explain, in the real world all chemical reactions occurs at same time.

  But in computer calculation , it's a simulation with our scientific comprehension of the phenomenom.

  There is another problem what is exactly the purpose of this calculation simulate all chemical reaction or only a part ?

  If you simulate all reaction .. we should use chemical quantum theory.

  If you think that for hydrogen computation there are only one electron that interract with atomic nucleus ... for carbon you have 6 electrons who interact with nucleus .. but also with other electrons ...

  so, if quantum calculation is easy for hydrogen

  1 orbital 1s1 ...

  with

  carbon

  1s2 2s2 2p2

  electrons on orbital 1s interact with electron on 2s and 2p

  2s interact with 1s and 2p

  2p interact with 1s and 2s

  If you think that we cannot compute exactly with math more than 3 electrons

  but the real world made it ...

  and this is only one atom ... a little protein in living cell has 100 or 200 atoms ...

  The problem is not the "complexity" that we think to see here but what we want to simulate and the tools we use ...
  

  At the other hand ... we could simulate these reaction in a real living cell when we

  modify one thing at time ...

  The reaction will be immediate but the time to analyze resulting data could take time ...

  with computation ... calculation take time and analyze resulting data could be fast

  To see a tree is immediate , study a tree take time , even without calculation or theorical work ( see botanist work :) )

  or comparing real world of airplane and FlightSimulator :)

  To conclude, it is an interresting work , but it could be misleading to compare real world

  to simulation and conclude that complexity is a problem for evolutionist ...

  It's not the same world, nor the same reality, nor finality ...

  Today ( I hope for them ) Russian JW are like all other JW and do all with zoom or phone , but I am not sure then I ask about them
