It is way too much to ask the kids to sit quietly for hours and hours at a convention when young children are not capable of doing this.
Agreed, wholeheartedly!
especially those of you married to servants and elders?
how did you feel about that?
did you wish the society would make more accomodations for dealing with children?.

i was always curious lol.. .
well, i remeber i had to, wel lhonestly, i didn't listen to music too much when i was younger, just on the radio, and i had no choice ( i didn't have a computer then and i was about 11 at that time) so we got a computwer when i was about 13 (i am currently 15..wow..i make myself sound old lol.
) and i remeber i was listemning to 3 6 mafia (a huge mistake) and my mom liked the instrumental.beat of the song, but i was playing it soo loud, she even heard the lyrics, and she told me to switch it to another song..so i did..i switched to cascada's everytime we touch..o_o.. .
I can recall throwing out the Red Hot Chili Peppers' "Blood Sugar Sex Magik" album, Nirvana's "Nevermind", and Def Leppard's "Adrenalize". Invariably my authentic self would win out though and I would find my way back to the music.
i'm at the grocery store.
walking ahead of me is this woman with a really nice butt in really tight jeans, small waist, nice hair.
(yes, guys, even us women notice other women's butts:-) she stops at the dairy section, turns around and i swear she is 60 if not older!
It might be time to stop:
i ask this because so many times when i was growing up, i was told that a certain sister or brother wasnt spirtually enough because of this or that.
i wanted to ask the person who said this: what makes you so spiritual, especially since you do the same thing that the so called unspirtually person does.
except you do it behind closed doors..
Do JW's (and uppity-christians in general) walk around with a false sense of accomplishment?
No, JW's are the most humble people on the planet... just ask them!

i remember something that happened to me a few years ago that reminded me of the programmed witnessing of a jw.
i was out with a friend (a jw) going for a drive and he brings us to a home to meet a guy that was an amway salesman and my friend had been encouraging me to get involved with amway.
" there was no way i was going to sell toothpaste" i told him.
to all members who still associate with the jw's, please consider this:.
if you're "in" because you fear you might lose spouse/family /friends--why not put it to the test.. just leave.. no need to resign: just stop all association--dont accept any literature/offers of help/shepherding/whatever.. what is likely to happen---will your spouse start divorce proceedings?--on what grounds?.
will your family /friends turn their back on you?--maybe.
If you leave Jehovah, you will not be destroyed at Armageddon. And if I'm wrong, then I owe you a Coke!

I remember JW talks at assemblies always advising us not to get involved with pyramid schemes. I guess they wanted all of our time for themselves! (JWs being the original "pyramid" scheme LOL.)
