Documentary: "Deliver Us From Evil"

i recently rented a documentary dvd entitled: "deliver us from evil".

it was an excellent (academy award nominated) piece on the abuse in the catholic church and how they have tried to hide it.

it could easily apply (well, more than easily) to the way jw's have let pedophiles run rampant in their communities by ignoring the situation and not complying with laws to report abusers.

Lilyan is so beautiful. Takes after her gamma...I mean mama. Sorry Brookiepooh. Just a natural mistake to equate beauty with myself. Oh hahahaha! They don't call me the SEA HAG for nothing!!! That graduation was such fun. Can't wait to see Jack and what he does. I'll steal back my video camera from Tristan...that little thief. mumsy

"Knocking" video to be on our local PBS station next week...arghhhhhhhh

guide (which has replaced the nwt as my bible) has this propaganda video airing next week, tuesday, may 22 at 9 pm central on "independent lens".

do you think if i watch it my brain may hemorrhage??

of course, many times they will list a show as airing and something else does.

Our channel here in central WI, Stevens Point, is channel 8, PBS. and that's all I have to say about that!!!!!

gogetter from here on the jwd, finally got an article in our paper.

if i remember correctly, she has tried several of times, but they wouldnt print anything that mentioned jehovahs witnesses, or if "kingdom hall" was mentioned.. im sure most people put two and two together, when "door to door" was mentioned anyway lol.

It doesn't take much to plant a seed of disgust in people's minds when they read an open letter such as this. I personally encourage anyone who has a "hometown" paper that accepts open letters to write a letter such as this one to their newspaper. Some editors will reject it if it does mention the "J" word (Jehovah's Witnesses); but their are other open-minded editors who will print just about anything. Give it a try. You ROCK GIRL!!! c.l. P.S. My t.v. guide (this has replace the NWT as my bible) for next week has the "Knocking" video showing Tuesday, May 22 at 9 pm central on PBS's "Independent Lens" show (Channel 8 here in central WI). After this airs, if it does...it will be a great opportunity to write a few letters to the editor and a few more to PBS and the local PBS station. I don't know if I have the stomach to watch it...it might cause my brain to hemorrhage.

i can't stop cooking!

i have made - cookies, brownies, chocolate cake(famous for) and dutch apple pie.

then i made, a few different home baked breads.. now, i am making dinner.. baked chicken(zesty), garlic mashed potatoes, sweet corn(grilled) and corn muffins.

i am sitting here with gloves on with the tips cut off because it is so darn cold in my computer room.

i digress.. my youngest son is getting married in may and my husband is giving the wedding "talk".

i have been googling sites to find a place where he can get a legal document to be able to marry them in the state of wisconsin.

TY Blondie! Maybe Gary can get away with being a "minister of Jehovah's Witnesses" because he's not DF'd or has dissassociated himself! Yeah. No. Bad idea. I don't think he wants to be linked with the JW's at any cost. Oh well. We'll find something.

Why ty very much f2t! My soon to be new daughter-in-law is one of Brookie's best friends and we all love and adore her. Brookie is going to be her "Matron of Honor"! I am the luckiest "MOM-IN-LAW" in the world with such wonderful women for my two boys. I am truly blessed.
