and it seems like we're getting a few like this nearly every day.
people who were raised jws, really worry that they are doing the right thing in leaving, yet who have been made to feel not good enough by the wts, who felt they never measured up, who struggled with it, but came to realize that what they'd been brought up to believe was just not the truth.. the same stories are told over and over again, and they come from sincere, good people - not whiny, fault-finding apostates like the rest of us riffraff around here!

Anyone here any good at fixing TVs?
by ballistic insorry for the completely non-jw related topic, but.... my sony trinitron tv had a number of thin blue horizontal lines appear towards the top of the screen.
i did some research and these appear to be "fly back lines" caused by the retrace showing as the gun moves back up the screen.. rather than call an engineer, i decided to buy another tv on ebay.
get it home, plug it in and this one has exactly the same problem except red lines instead of blue.. i'm just wondering what are the chances of this happening???

must be a bad week for t.v's. Mine died too. Completely and utterly dead. Got one of those fancy-dancy flat screen ones at Best Buy. Thinking about the future!! Sorry about the bad luck with yours ballistic. bummer

I hope these come thru. Here I am with Jimmy Newquist from Caroline's Spine (Pic 2) and his bass player, Scott (Pic 1). We went to see them last week at Taste of Madison. Jimmy produced my kids last album down in Tulsa, OK. Caroline's Spine toured with Kiss and Aerosmith in their "heyday". Does that count as famous?

My dear SparkP...you know some times life just sucks. You seem to be getting a huge dose of suckiness. But I truly believe that in time things even out and your life will unsuck itself and you'll get that job and be sitting in the front row with your camera at every show! Yeah. That's gonna happen.
