  I was asked to leave the table...an incredible shunning experience

  there was a social event and i was invited to attend.

  the event was by a kindergarden school that my 3 year old child had a play.

  after the songs and theatrical plays by the kids food was served.. .

  I need a good excuse

  i am thinking of stepping down from my position in the congregation.

  this is the first big step to my fade from the jw world.

  i talked to my wife about it and she told me that she thought it was best i did because there is no reason to do something if your heart is not wanting to do that.

  it's also called souse.. there was a show on radio this morning about farm life, and a caller told how it's done.. my mother used to make a big container for xmas.. i'm really waxing nostalgic here.. sylvia.

  It's supposed to be an aphrodisiac.

  Does anyone here celebrate holidays? Why?

  i didn't originally celebrate anything, but when my oldest son started school i decided that it was unfair to put him through what i went through in school.

  i have to admit that i am loving the holidays, even though some of that old mindset tries to make me feel guilty.

  we focus on what the holidays mean to us as a family and enjoying time together.

  Do You Trust The Police?

  i know some police officers that are very good cops.

  and i know some that are underhanded and dishonest.

  as kids, we were taught to be trusting of policemen (and women).

  new zealand afew weeks ago....a young couple with a failing small buisness ask the bank for an overdraft, which gets screwed up giving them afew million in the bank instead....they quietly withdraw the money and disappear overseas.....would you?.

  nobody in their right mind wants to die.

  most people say that if they have to go, it would best to have it happen while asleep.. but, in your opinion, what's the worst?.

  Like you said there are good and bad ones. I was implicated once and had to pay the dues and I was not the one responsible. Just a victim of circumstance. But, I have had several let me off. I know a lot of officers and they have let me go for speeding, etc. Sometimes they would just point their finger at me. Once, I was clocked at doing a 108 mph and was just told to slow down. Whew!!
