  seems likes i'm annoying others and hurting feelings on quite a few occassions when i post here.. oh, well.

  when i first came here, i was a people-pleasing wimp.

  i express my real opinions now and i'll be damned if i ever go back to silencing myself just to fit in.

  Not everyone is made of the same material or caliber and has the freedom to express themselves as their own, to be simple it is individuality. I find no offense and often encourage it.

  as of 6:02 pm last night i received a facsimile from paul hoeffel at the un on the wts.. he gave me 3 of the 4 things i requested in two paragraphs.. i have sent a scanned version to steve bates and someone else.. i sent it to kent and randy.

  and kent and randy have posted the official united nations letter on their web sites.. here is the letter - put your cursor on the image and then right click on your mouse and hit "save image" to your computer.. .

  after you look at kent's web site and you people still think this it is a fake letter, phone paul hoeffel yourself at (212) 963-8070.. hawk

  Damn! That's some good stuff. Now, how do we get all the slaughtered sheep to read this with open eyes (mind). You know they are all foggy and like others said on this thread, some if not most will choose not to believe it or that there was some reasoning behind it. A new light so to speak.

  different congregations

  i know that most of you dont believe in the jw faith anymore, but do any of you think certain things might have went different for you if in a different congregation?

  ive mentioned before that i believe in what the jws believe.

  im asking this question though because ive been to a couple of congregations in different areas and ive found some to be more heartworming, more open, and happier than others.

  No, It would not have made a difference to me. I started awakening from the mind control slumber and something prompted me to research the doctrine, which the JW's do encourage you to do just not their own doctrine. So, I did. I encourage you to do the same and if you still beleive that what you have is right in your heart then it is the correct choice for you. The evidence that I found in my research brought me to the conclusion that it is not the only direct channel from "God", if there is one. I found too many "un truths" than truths. The lies, coverups, scandals, etc..for it to be the right path to follow. The mind control was a big issue with me also. I beleive in the freedom to express ones self freely without somene telling you how, what and when to do. So, does this make me or the other person bad because we do not beleive the same doctrine as the JW's? No. Even though there are bad and deceiving people out there not everyone is. Remember, God has the ability to read hearts an I feel if that is so and there is a God then he will have the ability to read mine and he will understand.

  Mr. Flipper, You done it again! Again, I was a fan of TV, my favorite babysitter, Alot have that I enjoyed have already been mentioned but I like anything Sid & Mary Kroft did, H.R.Pufnstuff was one. Nothing like watching a stoned lizard, a lost boy with a magical flute, two bobbie cops mnamed Cling & Clang that rolled out of the side of a hill, Witchie Poo and her Vroom Broom, Magic Mushrooms that made them all giddy running around all over the place. I also enjoyed F-Troop with the Hicowies (don't know about the spelling) and Gilligans Island, Beverly Hillbillies and many others.

  Boy, I was a real cartoon nut and could go on an on but most of them have already been mentioned. I do have to say looking back my favs were probably the Loony Tunes, Merry Melodies and the rest of the Warner Bros. classics. Most of those cartoons were not meant for kids to watch but they did.

  Be Fair = Witnesses are NOT a cult!! What about Christians or democracy?

  people like to throw around the cult word when describing the watchtower society.

  but look at the definition of "cult" and you will see it applies to any system of thought concieved by an individual or group to control others.

  are christians a jesus cult...yes.

  Newbies & Lurkers - Let's Get to Know You - Please Tell Us Your Story

  at the suggestion of my sis named dinah ( thanks dinah ) we thought it would be good to invite newbies , lurkers , or any others junior members etc.

  to tell their stories of how they got out of the jehovah's witnesses or what you dealt with before getting out of which you had to overcome !

  life is hard- we all have our stories , but on this board are many caring people who will be here for you if you need a soft place to land after being controlled by the jehovah's witnesses mindset.

  Mr. Flipper,

  In response, my wife has not been trying to get me to attend. I know she would like me to but I can't do it. But, I do believe one of the elders called my work today. I was busy at the time and couldn't take the call. I know trying to adjust to life outside the KH is different and cannot imagine how hard it is for someone like yourself & "Who knows" who have been in the borg for many years. For me it was only 6-7 years so I still have encouraging relatives and work mates to lean on and help deprogram.

  I am currently giving it all I have to be strong. I have some personal issues I have to work out but I think I can do it.

  Thank you for the encouraging words, Mr.Flipper, and everyone else!

  to tell their stories of how they got out of the jehovah's witnesses or what you dealt with before getting out of which you had to overcome !

  life is hard- we all have our stories , but on this board are many caring people who will be here for you if you need a soft place to land after being controlled by the jehovah's witnesses mindset.

  Gawd! I don't know where to start. At the time I was MS and account servant and during that time over the the last couple of years it just seemed so repititious. They spoke another language that I no longer felt comfortable speaking. All the buzz words you know. I seen too many double standards with other R&F as well as elders. Then I started awakening and recognizing the mind control. That's when I began seeing holes in the religion and started doing some investigating and research on my own. COC was a real eye opener!

  I was wanting out but was weighing options. My wife and her parents are die hard Dubs. Which was all started by my wife, which is another story I'll tell later. But anyway, after a lot of thought I decided to make my stand, tell my wife and leave to never return. Which I know that some of you have seen and commented on some of my other threads which I really appreciate. The support and advise was much needed. Because since I made my stand my marriage has been rocky and I haven't heard from her parents. But, I can no longer carry on with their beliefs.

  So, here I am! Having a cold one and on my favorite site!

  I could go a lot deeper but this is a simple synopsis.
