well hello all....yes...i'm a newbie.... and yep...i am an inactive witness.
haven't been to a meeting in a while.
my entire family are witnesses, actually had a relative that proclaimed to be of the 144000...thats how deep....this is third generation witnesses here in this family.

My guess is that you lurked around awhile and realized you are not alone. Yes, I guess you can say that we are apostates, renegades from a religion that drains your very being physically, mentally and financially.

well, the elders are coming over tomorrow for a shepherding call with me and my wife.
i am sure they will discuss my low hours in the field ministry and how i am not doing everything i could be doing.
for my wife's sake, i will be good and mostly "smile and nod".
I'd bake them a cake they "would" remember..........For a long time!
Just make sure you or the misses doesn't eat any.

many times i read the life stories of former jws.
some of these jws are or have been married.
sometimes their spouses share their doubt about the religion and at times they leave the "truth" together or months or years apart.
Hey Easy & A@G - No it can be difficult being the outsider. Like of said before on other threads is that you have to reconnect and keep active and just hope that one day they wake up from the slumber like you did.
I am kinda in the same boat. My wifes in I'm out. I just keep busier than a three legged cat in a litter box. Drink beer and cuss with my nonJW family.
So far her going to the meetings allows me to be a little more me. I kick back have a cold one on jump on JWD and take it one day at a time.
