Hi again, Debating again with my favorite JW and the issue of grace became a firestorm. My contention is that Epesians 2:8-9 says it all but I get the arguement that "that's too easy" and shouldn't I have to do something. My point is if I earn it it's not grace. Anybody want to help me out? Thanks

Jesus as Michael
by Kphoto inlet me start by stating that i'm not a jehovah's witness but have family who have been discussing it with me and i am hoping for a better answer than i have gotten thus far.
i can find no scriptural backing for jesus being the arch-angel michael.
in fact i find things that seem to show me that they are two distinctly different beings.

Hello all, I like the discussion but I still havn't seen anything scriptural that show Jesus and Michael being the same.

I grew up with a JW aunt who was very outspoken. We had a relationship with her because my parents laid down the law as to what would be allowed in their home. Period. My aunt had two choices and she chose to keep her relationship with her sister and our family which meant Jehovah stayed outside. If they can't leave the organizations outside then they don't come in. It worked for us. All my best and congrats on the new one.

Perhaps you should consider looking in a NIV, NAS, or KJV version and look at any reference to the divinity of Christ. You"ll surely find changes there. Best of luck in your search.

Can someone explain why...
by sinis in... christians believe in jewish books, otherwise known as the tanakh.
especially when jews don't believe in your books?
i still cannot fathom, to this day, that of all the people "god" supposedly made (and considering the jews were not the first race), that he would be so biased to chose the jews as "his chosen people".

Here's the simplistic version. The old testiment is about the, law and the coming King. All of these things are part of Christianity. The New testiment is the revelation of Christ as that King and the freeing of us from the law. Both books are necessary. Remember this is the simple version. Have fun.
