Fun game for the convention
by Iwonder17 inso you already know how much the parking nazi's aggravate me.. so every time that we have gone to the dc, i have my kids guess how many morons it take to help me park my care ( i word it nicely as i don't want to be a jerk in front of my kids ) the last time, it took 15 idiots to point me to a parking spot.. guess how many people it took to help me park when i went to a nfl football game last year ( 75,000 people attended the game ).....2....one on the street with a flag and a second to collect the $$.. the amazing thing was that there were no accidents at the football game and all of the cars somehow fit in the spaces without 4 teenage jw's pointing at the exact smae spot..

What makes someone so sure...
by loosie inthat a surpreme being is gonna help us?.
on another thread that i started i asked what is wrong with the new age ideas.
some people seem so afraid of it.. one poster mentioned that new age stuff is incorrect because jesus is for sure gonna come take us away from this world.. now i am opened minded.

Good and Evil don't exist as invisible forces in the universe... they are concepts, and they are relative.

My kids and my dog play in the driveway all of the time. If someone hit either of them, there would be hell to pay.

"If these remained silent, the stones would cry out."—Luke 19:40,
I really wish all the believers would agree to remain silent for a little while.
If the stones cry out, everyone will know for sure.

I was tagged to do parking once. That was enough. Who wants to stand out in the heat and direct cars with 15 redundant guys doing the same thing? Some "Privilege"...
Isn't it odd how people will line up to do the most menial tasks if you call them "Privileges"?
Hey fellas... we're gonna give you the privilege to shovel some shit over here...
Oh, pick me, please pick me!

dinah said: "Why do the Israelites make me think of cavemen running around with clubs and rocks??"
I don't think that's too far off. They were a bunch of superstitious, primitive, nomads.
And thousands of years later, people stake their lives on silly rules that those "primitives" cooked up.

A Desperate Regime That Will Do Anything ...
by compound complex ini just caught the conclusion of an npr news brief regarding zimbabwe (i believe the country is zimbabwe); the government is using food as a weapon, i.e., 'you support our regime and we'll feed you.'.
the journalist ended her report saying that it is 'a desperate regime that will do anything to stay in power.'.
my first thought was of the governing body.. call me crazy .... coco.

I don't think their strongest fear factor is the threat of death at armageddon... I think it is the threat of ripping you away from your family and friends while you are still alive.
The threat of abandonment.
They shouldn't have that much power.

JW Refuses to Let Husband have Life-saving Transfusion
by fjtoth injehovahs witness refuses to let husband have life-saving blood transfusionby lucy cockcroft last updated: 6:42 am bst 06/06/2008 the wife of a man who is critically ill in hospital has refused to let doctors give him a life-saving blood transfusion because he is a jehovahs witness.john edwards, 57, suffered severe injuries when a motorist suspected of drink-driving knocked him over and medics have warned he could only have days to live if he does not have the transfusion.. but his wife sheila said he has signed a form banning any blood transfusions in the event of an accident or illness, because their religion forbids it.. it is believed she is rejecting repeated pleas from doctors hoping to change her mind.. the couple's sons, jonathan, 36 and tom, 29, do not share their beliefs and it was unclear last night whether they supported their mother's decision.. a family source said: "sheila is adamant that john must not have blood.
she says giving him a transfusion would be like assaulting him, and he wouldn't want to live knowing he had disobeyed his god.. "she is in a terrible state, constantly in tears at his bedside, but won't give in to requests from anyone.
her sons are both with her but her position hasnt budged.".

The life is in the blood, and we have to show respect for life. And we show respect for life by letting people die.
Make sense yet?
