i know of a 15 year old boy who is sliding deeper into substance abuse and everyone around him seems powerless to stop him from his self destructive behavior.
his parents are divorced, his father barely sees his son, his mother supports her 2 kids in the best way that she can but cannot control her son at all.
he smokes weed every day, been in trouble regularly with the law, is now selling prescription meds that he steals from family members---basically, he's either going to be dead or in jail if he doesn't get serious help.. any suggestions??
A lady in our neighborhood lost her son this past year to overdose of alcohol and xanx at a party, he just graduated high school that year. He started out smoking dope and moved on to meth and then just partying any chance he got. The family did all they could to try to get him on the right track. The family is having a very difficult time of it now. None of them are jw's.
Death may come before hitting rock bottom. What a waste of a young life.

i hate the wtbts; because, they kill people with their lunatic blood policy and destroy families with shunning.. my mother at age 48, was diagnosed with a brain tumor.
the tumor could have been removed with surgery; but, that would have required blood so it didn't happen.
The WTS is Satan's physical rule over the jw's. The father of Lie, hate, mean, cruel, dishonest, control freak cult, ect..... and all the reasons stated above.

iceguy, I think your right. I just happened to look up jw's belief on birthday's and it led me to this web page. I have learned much more here. I think a lot of jw's will just want to look up a paticticular belief they don't quit understand and that search will lead them here or to other sights that expose the WT. Thank Goodness for the internet and sights like this one.

especially since my dad , an elder for years was never aware of it and has on his own taken steps to see that families with children are informed if a former pedophile is in their congregation.
i was curious as to what the current views and policies in place are .
Outlaw, The guy flipper talked to may not give a rat's a** but at least he is aware people are more aware of what is going on, I think it will matter in the long run. The WT will get a bit spooked that they didn't hush this up completely. The WT know's this will spread over the internet, that is why they are making everything and anything in the world " APOSTATE" which now means, " Devil" "Satan" " Father of Lie" how long do they think they can get away with this stupid thinking?

Blithe, I won't give up hope, I think the young jw's are to much into the internet and they will do the research, especially if they have any doubts about the WT especially the education thing.
Wizard, I do think most of the older jw's will cling to what they have been taught, however, I don't think the younger generation will buy into a lot of the BS.

i've decided to write a series of articles aimed not at jws or ex-jws, but non-jws caught in the "crossfire" between the individual and the organization.
too often the loved ones of ex-jws feel like they're on the sidelines when it comes to religious issues.
i wanted to help the woman who's husband still won't decorate the christmas tree, the man who's wife will cook a ham but won't hide eggs for the kids on easter, or just anyone wondering why their significant other is being shunned by his/her family at the behest of a book publishing corporation.

This would be good news for me, especially if my daughter will have to attend in the next town. She won't be thrilled with that. Hopefully more JW's are leaving or at least not showing up for meetings.
I am thinking the good new's of the internet is spreading and will save more lives!
