I think most of the evolving and enforcing power structure of the JWs came from Rutherford. He was a professional lawyer who was infused with legal judgmental decision making and the individual power which came from that.
The blood issue with the JWS is holding on and might be because of the legality or libel to instigate the probable death of people ???
just before the pandemic affected my area, a couple of jws came to my door.
this was the first time i didn't tell them to hit the road but instead had a pleasant conversation with them.
i never revealed that i am a former jw, nor do i ever want the jws in my area to know that i was ever one.
Don't consider JWS bad people they're just a bit uneducated and being mind controlled by men who are running a publishing house who subsequently built up their own power by exploiting the public's basic belief in the bible..

The JWS/Jworg publishing house is trying to exploit recent world events ie. Virus pandemic as a sign that mankind is living in the last days.
(There have been virus pandemics hundreds of years before, even in biblical limes)
The WTS heads have always known if they can find people to believe what they are saying they might be able to recruit that person, less they get educated.

If your the kind of person who apathetically doesn't care about other people in general like most JWS who are patiently waiting for the majority of the world's population to die at Armageddon, well maybe you would object to these shut downs if they imposed some hardship into their own life. ?

Let's wait until the end of the year - when everything will be put on lockdown once again "to save 1000's of lives and the NHS" from the dreaded 'flu - then people can re-examine the Emperor's new clothes.
So your trying to imply that this particular virus is just a regular common flu.

today, it will be 90 degrees and humid!
this morning i’ll be playing tennis again.
while most people have been holed up in their houses, i have regularly played the sport outside.
The only time I've worn a mask is when I recently got a professional hair cut, no big deal.
Been out grocery shopping, working in construction, outdoor activities ..... no mask.
As of recent daily reports, the virus has been subdued for now in my neck of the woods Vancouver BC.
Will see what happens in the fall, October, November.
what does everyone think will happen next on the back of the coronavirus pandemic?.
these are my suggestions;.
1) coronavirus will have a disproportionate effect on jw ‘growth’ countries like in south america and africa.
But what about if a vaccine is developed and distributed to the population.
All will go back to the way it was pre Covid ?
Assemblies and Conventions will be back.
The reinsertion of the brainwashing, the F.O.G. will return and so will the money accumulation.

The Covid -19 virus was detrimentally more harmful and more contagious than the other known flu viruses, hence the shut downs.
