Finantial Issues of WT
by JWRESEARCH inwt have always been very discreet about their finances.
in the annual totals the sum spent had great increases every year.
however is the evidence is quite clear about the recent fall of contributions - the result was the cut in watchtower and awake.

Thanks journey-on and Besty for your informations
And i agree with you, Marvin Shilmer, in respect to good finantial situation - in terms of present.
But i desagree in what concerns to the motifs of cuts in printing magazines. I may be wrong, but i think at least the costs were a major part of the decision.
But we can dig deeper to try to have a clear picture of both sides of equation: revenues and costs

What makes you so sure of the wealth of WT, Marvin Shilmer?
An institution can have a huge capital, but if it is not investing, they will spend what they have in a few years.
In the last year they reported 121 million dollars only to support wages and travel expenses. And i am not sure if this total includes the costs of the 19500 Bethel members (i think it does not).
If we add the costs of printing publications, it is quite astonishing. How much does it costs to print 60 millions of magazines every month
So if the contributions keep going down, they have to reduce costs - and i still think that the cuts of Awake and WatchTower are a result of that
Maybe i am wrong. So what figures do we have about WT?

They also sold several real estate properties
What do we know about WT finances?
How many workers (paid workers) in the world - At least 20000 in Bethels and the overseers (how many?). What are the average amount paid for each type of worker?
Do you have a rought ideia of printing costs (paper and ink, etc) for the magazines?
Thanks in advance

The letter of changing the book study
by JWRESEARCH ini had a second and a third chance to read the famous letter.. here a few details.
it starts by saying we are in the last days and those who oppose are making things more difficult.
adds that the gb wants to follow the 1st century example (not to add more burden) and quotes acts 15:5,28. mention the raise of gas price (and the dificulties of some families) and suggest to use the free night to family study.

The hidden Watchtower writers.
by edmond dantes inthe watchtower smoke and mirrors dept.
are very fond of saying that appostates who post on the internet are like satan in eden hiding their identity just like the devil who used the serpent.. this begs the question why do the awake and watchtower writers need to hide behind the printing presses of the evil tower, what are they ashamed of or more to the point what is the govening body frightened of ?.
maybe the book club and rip off society are guilty of identity theft in not declaring the names of their writers..

This is an interesting topic.
In the remote past, people knew who were the writers
I agree that the average article is not of great difficulty. But the main problem it is the repetition of what had already been written in the past.
Some people have compared the Awake magazine with Readers Digest, But i thing the Awake is far away from the Digest.
