hey, nurses: the march issue of nursing 2007 has an article entitled "can a bloodless surgery program work in the trauma setting?
i'm tempted to write a 'comment from readers' but not sure what to say.
anyone else read it?
The term "bloodless" is a a misnomer since this involves hemodilution and other machines that take one's blood out of the body and then transfuse it back into the body.
In some cases the blood can be disconnected from the body for blood tests and in some surgeries. These machines were banned up until the 1980s by the leadership. Bloodless also involves storing one's own blood too - which is banned by the leadership.
So where's all this stated in the Bible?

The article describes the hook up to a 67 year old JW patient. The article describes how a tube and pressure are used to keep the bag connected to the patient.
This process was banned by the JW leadership up until the late 1980s. Now it is promoted by the JW leadership. Of course they try and tell us this is a no blood technique when in fact if one looks close enough it is a transfusion of one's one blood.
Does anyone want to ask just how many people had to die before the 1980s until some guy decided to change his mind?
If this truly is a bible based doctrine, where in the Bible does it say it is okay to have blood out of your body and then re-transfused back into the body as long as a plastic tube medium is used and connected between the human and the machine but if there is no tube attachment and your own blood is stored before the procedure it is banned?
If this truly is a bible based doctrine where in the Bible does it say you are allowed to break the tube connection for blood testing and then retransfuse the blood back into the body but you are not allowed to have your own blood stored before an operation?

Please show me where Ms. Wood is incorrect.
Do red blood cells not naturally move between mother and child during gestation? If they do then why are red blood cells banned?
Do white blood cells not naturally move between mother and baby during breat feeding? If they do why are white blood cells transfusions banned?
Does whole blood not naturally transfuse between two humans (fetuses) during monchorionic gestation (identical twins)? If it does why is whole blood banned?
Is there a place in the Bible where red blood cells are banned and hemoglobin is not banned?
Is there a place in the Bible that defines what the major components of Blood are and minor components?
Is there a place in the Bible that say it is not okay to have your own blood stored separately from your body but it is okay to have your own blood stored out of your body in a tube and machine or if necessary it is close by you during the entire medical procedure?
Why does the leadership say the blood doctrine is a Bible based doctrine and then turn around and use a text book for medical technicians that is not authoritative as its basis for defining the main components of blood?
Why does the leadership allow blood during testing to be separated from the body and then transfused back into the body when other donated blood is not allowed?
Why does the leadership say this is a long standing doctrine when in fact the doctrine has been only around since 1940 and has changed many times in an untactful way?
