Today, in a store, I sneezed. A stranger from somewhere nearby said "Bless You". JW's can't say bless you.
AND if some unenlightened person should shamelessly bless you...Don't dare say "Thank You".
Today, it felt so good to say Thank You to the unseen person.

i thought i was back on the jw radar after my jw daughter had a local elder call on me back in 2011 - but apparently not.
he obviously didn't let his elders know i lived here, no record was kept for posterity and just called my daughter telling her that her " dad has differences with the organization " because he never called back on me as he promised to talk again.
as i'm just inactive for 10 years.. so these two older jw ladys come knocking yesterday - one lady about 57 and the other lady older about 71 yrs.old ( i asked how long they had been jw's and told me they both have been in 30 years.
I think it's remarkable that they took the print outs. They get extra points for that.

hollywood likes to make movies "inspired by" actual persons and events.. when they do, many critics point to the various facts which have been changed in the creation of the film.
a male character may be transformed by screenwriters into a female.. the actual location of the true incident becomes a different country altogether.. a tall person may be portrayed by a short actor.. the decade of the true incident may be switched to a totally different time period.. names are changed and characters may be added or removed.. things never spoken are quoted as though actual.
motives are suddenly attributed to people opposite to reality.

i have been to various mental health message board for years.
however, i cannot find any real friends there.. since my disassociation from the jw, i have no group which i belong to.
i have tried even multilevel marketing scheme in order to make new friends but unsuccessful.. .
I wouldn't expect much from MLM's. I would ditto everything Simon said. I would also add stay positive. If you have negativity that can impact your attitude and perceptive people will pick up on it. When you wake up think about 5 things that you are looking forward to on that day and when you go to bed think about 5 things that pleased you that day. In between try to dismiss negativity and think about 5 things that you like about yourself.
