What should I do with all of these books?
by Confession inwhile growing up, my dad maintained a rather huge wts library.
i liked the idea of being able to pick out one of those old books from the1940s or earlier and read what they were saying back then.
well for the first time, in september of 2006 at the age of 40, i finally became a home-owner.

The name "Jehovah's Witnesses" is NOT scriptural!

Hey, NAT....got that right. I heard judge speak from Franklin County fairgrounds ...Cols., O...in 1931..It wasn't a name then....but description...originally ,,, it was Jehovah's witnesses....small "w". changed later in the 30's to a name. The Judge began the first word of the first paragraph of the main WT article w/ Jehovah....and with a fancy "J"...look it up...Check early books...Vin. I II and III...Riches maybe. We used to have a RICHES sign in our window, complete w/ light bulb. Think it read, "YOU CAN OBTAIN RICHES HERE"....wonder we didn't attract every bum in town. neighbors laughed a lot....The early books by the Judge....always a small "w"....Maybe Blondie knows what year it was changed? INTHEPINK.

BFD....hi,friend! Yes, I remember going w/ Bro. Roland Brown (was at Bethel late 20's early 30's} and my father in a sound truck he had built....we would drive thru neighborhoods .... speakers blazing news of a showing of the Photodrama of Creation. Hold it outdoors at dusk....viewers would bring their own chairs....and we had large enthusiastic crowds. This was in Columbus, Ohio in early 30's. SEE WHAT YOU MISSED BFD!!!! Pink. Loved my Dad...loved going with him on these showings. We had more freedom and even fun in those early days...picnics....corn roasts....the real tightening came later.

" but the newer 1980 version of the nwt changed that to "and let all god's angels do obeisance to him.".
are there any other passages of scripture that the wts has changed from the older nwt version (to fit their doctrine)??

LAV....looks like you are getting all kinds of GOOD help. We all can depend on Blondie...she knows where the bodies are buried. Translating committee buried some in their footnotes....as in the case of their ever changing defence of John 8:58. Reminds you of the little ole lady that passed parking places and still wound up in front of the fire plug.....still hold w/ the impossible, "I have been" instead of, "I AM".
