  So, as a dub for many years. This is one I could never really explain to people. Does the WT condemn this holiday (Thanksgiving) in writing somewhere. I don't remember really ever reading much on this one, except maybe in the school brochure. My wife was ok with cooking a big TK dinner on FRIDAY but 24 hrs earlier would have been a big no-no. I teased her about this pretty good too.

  according to a new happiness index, north korea ranks second after china, followed by cuba, iran and venezuela.

  I watched a documentary about N Korea a while back. It is amazing how out of touch that place is, the citizens are cult zombies for their dear leader. It's sad how brain washed they are.

  just started watching 'friday night lights' .... great show, but it's making me a little bitter!

  17 years after high school, i am still bummed i didn't get to play football or baseball.

  i knew my elder dad would get busted from the others in the elders club.

  Wow..I somehow missed this thread...this is HUGE. I know we have a 3rd or 4th year law student here...would be interesting to get her opinion on this. Could this really be a major crippling blow to the WT? Can't remember her screen name though...

  WTWIZ...I don't think this is enough to make that statement that 'this verifies' anything. I do hope it's true though. I hope like many here still stuck in to only have to waste 2 days at the grand boasting session, with my hounder friends...watching them kiss the hounder hounder's butts, and occasionally a hounder hounder hounder's (DO?) Then having to endure a dinner out, running into a table full of hounders and pio'sneers who are still wearing their boasting session badges sharing experiences of the kindom misery and beth-HELL visits.

  lol sorry, I tried to write a sentance using all your little JW made-up words.

  But seriously...it's suspicious, but I think we still have to wait for an official word. I think we're still gonna have 3days for a couple more years.

  I do not have any service time for the xxxxxxx study group or the xxxxxxx study group. What do you recommend that I do? I need to report on the sixth of the month. Every month!

  Should I just not report for these two groups tomorrow morning?

  the supreme commercial court will not be reviewing the lower court's ruling prohibiting the distribution of two jehovah's witnesses magazines, the watchtower and awake!, the court's spokesperson told the russian legal information agency (rapsi/rapsinews.com) on monday.. on april 6, 2010, the federal service for supervision of communications, information technology and mass media (roskomnadzor) annulled the permission to distribute the aforementioned magazines in russia issued in 1997 by the state committee for press after some of the content was declared extremist.. in february, the ninth commercial court of appeals upheld the federal service's ban on publishing and distributing the magazines.. the court thus dismissed the appeal filed by wachtturm bibel- und traktat-gesellschaft, deutscher zweig, e.v, the legal entity which holds the license to the magazines, and the jehovah's witnesses administrative center responsible for their distribution.. the religious organization requested to reconsider the ruling, but the supreme commercial court found no grounds for this.. the roskomnadzor representative said that the organization is carrying outs its activity outside russia and it is not subject to russian laws regulating the enterprises activity.. jehovah's witnesses is an international religious organization.

  Hopefully the supreme court will review the paragraph calling former JWs "Mentally Diseased" ...I would think that might clinch it. ;-)
