How Long Have You Been Viewing Thiis Site? Does It Serve Its Purpose For You?
by minimus ini've been here forever.... this site still gives us some of the most up to date info about jws .
it keeps evolving.
sometimes it is the place to be and i think that's especially true for newbies.

I've been here since 07...reading and absorbing for about a year before I registered. My first post was scary, I still go back and re-read it every now and then for sentimantal reasons ;-)
I am so happy Simon has created a place for us all to come together and share, weather it a thread about 'what do you like on you sandwiches' or "BIG NEWS from Mother Ship" I always enjoy reading something on here.
It's great to know what an interesting slice of humanity "we" all our as "brother and sisters" The WT has created a crazy culture, and it's always interesting to see how many of us have seen the same things, heard the same comments, gotten the same counsel or whatever....
For me this site definately serves its purpose. I am glad I have a place to come to vent.
GO SEAHAWKS!!

Great thread. Hortensia...I don't think anyone is trying to say they're special because they used to be an elder. For me as a lurker 6 years ago, it helped break the hold the WT had to see Gifts-in-Men (elders) posting here.
Maybe it will help newbies, and lurkers to see super spiritual guys who don't believe anymore ;-)

I had a good friend back in the 90s that lived close by. we hung out a lot. We were both young MSs in our 20s. He was married, I was not at the time. I had no idea how sexually "crazy" him and his wife were. One night we were sitting around and he 'joked' that he would let me have his wife for the evening. She was in the room too and smiled at me, Had I gone for it I'm %99 sure they were serious. We laughed off the awkward moment.
The previous week he was on stage giving his 2nd pub talk.
After the friendship faded away a few years later. I found out from my cousin, whoes dad was PO, that they had both been reproved for having a 3some, once with a girl, once with a guy.
All the while he was an MS giving parts and going out in service...he played the part well. Looking back now, I'm glad they had some fun.
No judgement here ;-)

My adorable 5 year son explaining the meaning of life
by jwfacts ini asked my son quite randomly before bed what he thinks the meaning of life is.
like always, his answer brought a smile to my face.
he said, "to have a great time .. to have fun and have friends ... and be happy.

Interesting, I commented a long time ago on a thread about Wade...I spent a lot of time in the PNW and remember meeting him.
His linkedin page says he's in Bellingham, but I met him in a congo down south of Seattle.
One of my relatives that lives in WA told me about several elders (former janitors) that have pretty good hospital gigs now.
I wish I could remember their names.
Thanks for posting the interesting conversation you had with him Turtleturtle. I too am curious what happened with his family.

I downloaded the app to suck up to an inlaw who was sitting next to me while watching a football game....ugh. Didn't want to invade my phone. I ended up uninstalling it when I noticed it kept trying to download another file...it would hang on the download operation for up to a half hour with no end result, It finally made me mad and I just trashed it.
I was reading the reviews last night, omg. what a bunch of minions. THANK-YOU JEHOVAH FOR THIS AMAZING APP
