biggest facepalm moment- teenage pioneer says she pioneers because "the overlapping generation is getting up there in years ,so time is short" as the saying goes "those that don't know history are doomed to repeat it".

Crazy what we all used to believe.
had a couple of witnesses stop by yesterday to say the usual "we miss you, missed you at the meeting, just checking in on you, etc.
" i've always liked this guy so we spoke for a few minutes.
my wife said that they could count their time since i am inactive.
I remember this being a thing when I was an MS .
I always like to point out to my wife that "the friends" ONLY ever stop by with the "We miss you" BS...WHILE they're 'on the clock'
I ask her "when was the last time one of your old friends, or elder buddy stopped by on there own time, or called"
granted, I don't want them too...but 99% of the time, they're doing it while out in service. We're an easy stop before or after the 11am starbucks break. LOL

i just wanted to add after finishing it last night, it is a must watch for questioning jws...every episode has familiar situations and parallels that will make jws really think (or squirm).

Watch it with someone you want to wake up!!!! It will definitely help. My wife who is inactive but still is torn and believes (elder dad, pioneer mom) was anxious to watch it every week. She made comments about the similarities. If you watch with a fully "in" JW, it will make them a little uncomfortable for sure.

are there current elders schools happening around the country or are they at the point of requiring elders to go back to mecca (aka new york)?.
and a more specific question: is it possible there is a school this next week in the seattle area?
(just curious, it has to do with one of my in laws who's an elder out there).

this is just a first step clapping.
it's like the fed one quarter bases point at a time.
I bought mine for 250 US, It's an HP 14" screen. If it's for surfing online, watching movies (netflix etc) it's great. Does not lock up, (ok, maybe once or twice a month) boots up within 10 seconds. light and quiet. I love mine.

well, sounds very interesting. I am not familiar with umbertoecho or his/her story. Guess I'll have to do some 'search box' research tomorrow morning so I can understand this a bit better.
